Skotte
OMG you are manualing installing mods WOW that is just asking for trouble. It's only asking for trouble if you don't know what you're doing. I manually install all the mods I use. So do I, I tried the OBMM didn't much care for it.

LHammonds
It's only asking for trouble if you don't know what you're doing. I manually install all the mods I use. That's not necessarily true. I have a masters in computer science and still ended up fragging my savegames. I do not know which particular mod caused the problems but I do know that it was related to upgrading a mod that didn't work...then not knowing it had a problem (a savegame killer over time). When I tried to restore the mod to an older version, I no longer had an old copy of the mod and the author no longer had older versions on TESNexus. The whole frustration with installing, upgrading, uninstalling and versioning caused me to find a better solution than doing everything manually (which is simply too time-consuming and prone to error). That is when I found Oblivion Mod Manager. I was so impressed with it that I created a website dedicated to teaching others how to use it to avoid the problems I had when I was "manually" installing mods. i did exactly as you said, but once i installed the mods again, they still didn't appear in game?.I'm going to as a basic question here. Did you patch your Oblivion to version 1.1 or 1.2? Only the oldest mods or those using a Back-Rev technique work in Oblivion 1.0 (unpatched original version). Michlo
I've said it before and it seems I have to say it again. I caution against completely disabling your UAC. It may not be the ideal solution but it is there for a reason, to protect you. Please read my post here. Cheers.
