Does verifying local files bork modded game?

Anyone know if verifying local files thru Steam will mess with a highly modded Morrowind install? Im not sure how far the verification goes as far as maybe reverting config files or whatever. We're talking like a full MGE + patches etc install. Like I know in Skyrim ya need to reclean the masters after verifying.

It will undo any patched EXEs such as with the MGE, so you'll have to run that Morrowind.exe MGE patcher again or whatever mod that is that directly patches the Morrowind.exe
