Zebsi
Those "previously working" load orders must've not been working all that well, if loot decided that the order should be changed. From my understanding, they'd been sorted with LOOT and then manually tweaked. Because as good as loot is, it, like everything, isn't perfect. You CAN manually adjust load order in VortexOrdering rules ≠ manual adjustment. I can get my load order running and sorting (by turning on autosort) in just a few minutesThe capability to autosort plugins isn't Vortex exclusive, which brings me back to the point I made in my previous post; LOOT + manual adjustment > only LOOT I would suggest if you want to hold onto the old way of doing things, and not knowing if you have a conflict or notThe capability to autosort plugins detect conflicts isn't Vortex exclusive, which brings me back to the point I made in my previous post; LOOT + manual adjustment > only LOOT
HadToRegister
The capability to autosort plugins detect conflicts isn't Vortex exclusive, which brings me back to the point I made in my previous post; LOOT + manual adjustment > only LOOT Actually it is exclusive to Vortex, because Vortex detects conflicts in Textures, Meshes, and BSAs, LOOT only finds conflicts in ESPS
Zebsi
You have me on BSAs, but to my knowledge, MO2 can detect conflicts in loose files. Does Vortex use a virtual drive though?
HadToRegister
You have me on BSAs, but to my knowledge, MO2 can detect conflicts in loose files. Does Vortex use a virtual drive though? 3 choices, 1. Symlinks and 2. Hardlinks and actual 3. Moving the file into the Data folder. Apparently Bethesda games can't deal with Symlinks, but Hardlinks are pretty much the same, except it looks like the mods are in the data folder, but that's because they're there by Hardlinks, while the actual files themselves are in a Mod Deployment Folder of your Making/Choosing. Zebsi
So there's a choice. Bit of an odd place to give freedom imo, but as long as there's the option for hardlinks, I got nothing bad to say :P Anyway, there's no point in continuing this back and forth we got going on. It's gotten super off-topic from the original post, and we've pretty much gone through every pro and con of both mod managers lol Hopefully someone in the future will come across this and find it useful in picking a mod manager.
