Aztec Weapons

Hey all. I'm here to test the water here with a phrase I prefer not to use, my first mod. First for Skyrim, that is. But it has been years since I successfully modded any game.

Anyway, onto the topic.

I'm a big fan of Aztecs and naturally I wanted some of their equipment in the game. I began modelling some weapons and created a very basic weapon-addition mod. (Unfortunately I can't seem to re-open and edit this without causing some of the weapons to disappear in game, I've had to re-add them a few times).

My main concern is that my weapons may not be very well optimised. The dagger alone has over 800 polys, though I recently reduced it to near 600. Most seem to work fine in-game, in terms of model loading, but one or two, such as the aforementioned dagger take a second or two to load on first use.

Some examples here:

You can go up to 10k triangles and anyone with a decent rig will be able to run it. Having 800 polys on your dagger is no big deal. You could throw in more details there. The iron claymore is 1.5k triangles and Oblivion has swords with 3-4k so no need to worry. A dagger may be smaller but there's no need for it to have fewer polys than a sword. It's not going to affect your performance
