JimmyRJump
I got tons of mods that have all kinds of concrete walls and foundations with the most different textures, but does anyone know about a mod that has parts for the retaining wall that's sitting to the South of Sanctuary, please? I have a cobblestone mod that has more or less the same textures, but I'd like to repair and extend the existing wall with the same form the original wall has. The cornerstones with the flat top are part of the G2M Workshop mod, so, what I'm looking for is the walls with the cobblestone sidewalk. Haven't found such textures/meshes yet and am wondering if they exist at all...
MarkusTay
I've seen quite few 'Sanctuary rebuilt' mods that repair the wall and even extend it - there's one I have been thinking about using this play-through; instead of giving you brand-new houses from the pre-war, the author made them look like fixed-up versions of the post-war houses, so it would be the perfect mod to use a short time after Preston & his crew moved in. Its THIS ONE by Hozsa - I am using his Easy Homebuilding mod this play-though and its probably the best 'all-in-one' I've used yet. In that other one I just linked, he does the work for you (but still keeping it immersive, not new-looking). And yet, even though that one has EVERYTHING (including the kitchen sink), I don't see a set of retaining walls. I'll double-check, though - there is a LOT I haven't looked through yet (and as I said, he fixed and extended that wall in that linked mod). I would hazard to guess no-one has really done it because they'd have such a limited use. There are several settlements that do touch the water, and if you use a mod that extends the settlements, quite a few more do. I can see it being very useful at the Kingsport Lighthouse, for example. JimmyRJump
Thanks for the link, Markus. I have that mod. Never used it thought. I scrap most of the Sanctuary houses anyway, so, might as well have a look at it. I'm also currently using Hozsa's Easy Home Builder plus his Offices And Store Buildings mod... Kudos ;)
MarkusTay
NP - I haven't tried the Offices and stores - do you find that one very useful? There are a couple of buildings I got with a different mod (can't think of the name), and it comes with that nice two-story shop you see a few times in the Commonwealth, including one instance of a 'random encounter' that nearly always happens just north of Lexington (two factions fighting it out every time you come near). The same model is in a few other places as well - it has a long counter inside that I love to stick vendors behind. The only problem is that I can't get anyone to go upstairs. The base floor seems okay - people use it, but the top floor must not be navmeshed correctly. But at least they use the lower floor - I've found buildings from other mods that weren't navmeshed at all - I only recently found Hozsa's stuff and I am AMAZED at how well everything is navmeshed, even when I mix it with vanilla stuff. He did a better job than Bethesda's coders! I see he has 'navmesh blocks' - have you tried those out yet? I was thinking maybe I could use those to fix problems with other buildings and trouble spots. Love his power-system. Cheers
JimmyRJump
I think the store with the long counter is the corner shop across the Concord Museum Of Freedom. Has a ground floor plus two storeys and is part of the Offices And Stores mod. Have used it only once (it's rather big) but never checked if settlers go all the way up to the second floor... Other building ingredient mods that are interesting, at least to me, are Ethreon's Cabin In The Woods and Stairs, Ladders & Ramps, and Robboten's Snappy Housekits (has almost everything from any vanilla house which allows to repair buildings like Croup Manor and such) and Woody's Wasteland Stuff by Woodilicious. For the separate, repaired Sunshine Tidings chalets, I use g2mXagent's g2m Workshop. Has tons of nice parts, including a fish farm.
