Walruscopter
Loaded up my save today and suddenly everything is slow, including menu, cinematics, game movement, weapon drawing. It's like everything is suddenly half speed. Came out of nowhere. It's not any of the usual: not fpsclamp etc. not overencumbered, capslock problem doesn't fix neither does opening console and hitting caps or rebinding autorun. I've tired verifying cache too, Anyone help please?
MarkusTay
Have you tried shooting? The game does a 'slow-mo' for certain shots, and maybe that's stuck on for some reason, so if you can get it to happen correctly, maybe it will turn off when the shot completes. Other than that, good luck. EDIT: have you tried going back to an earlier save to see if it happens there as well? Could just be a corrupted save, and there isn't much you can do about that. I got stuck in a dying loop once - the game auto-saved just as I got exploded, and every time I tried to continue, the game would start with me blowing up again (which, come to think of it, happened in slow-motion). Walruscopter
That's actually a good line of thought, thankyou. Yeah I tried saves and a new game sadly.
JimmyRJump
Close the game and restart it and all will be A-Okay again. It's a RAM flushing issue which causes the game to run out of RAM and slow to a crawl. Rebooting the game solves this.
Walruscopter
Thanks Jimmy but I'm afraid that wasn't the problem here. I'm still not exactly sure what WAS causing it but it seems to have been a bigger issue as it later appeared in another game too. I think it might've just been Windows being very weird. Started booting really slowly. For whatever reason deliberately restarting it from the start menu button seems to have fixed everything, no amount of other reboots or turning it off and back on helped but that did o_O It could be that RAM was a part of the overall problem symptoms but honestly it seems like the root was just Windows throwing a seasonal wobbler hah. Thankyou all for taking the time to try to help  Edited December 28, 2018 by Walruscopter
