Preparing for Dawnguard on PC

Well it is of course a part of a quest to get infected. I think you can play any kind of character, it won't affect the vampire lord gameplay..

Its true, you can be any kind of character, it will not affect game.I already played Dawnguard on Xbox 360 and i´m a hybrid Nord.

Please don't tell me my Werewolf who is supposed to be immune to Vampirism can be infected with the Dawnguard DLC?...I would not be impressed...

Don´t worry, you will only be a Vampire Lord if you choose to be one.

But this Vampirism that makes you be a Vampire Lord, actually is not a disease, so even if you are a werewolf, you can be a Vampire Lord.(but of course, to be one, you need to side with the vamps)

I'm not the least bit interested in this DLC. Especially when I hear comments such as the ones in this very thread. I work hard for my money and refuse to throw it away. Yes, even 20 bucks. Just sayin'.

I think i prefer my mods than Dawnguard for now.(but i will enjoy being a Vampire Lord)

Mods are a lot more fun that any DLC,but i still want to slay every Dawnguard soldier.

Well i for one am looking forward to the DLC! just wish it would come out for PC Already!

As for the bugs and whatever so be it, I had no issues with Skyrim at all 200+ game hours played not a single bug or glitch found, just lucky I guess.

I've only had 3 quest bugs, and literally... less than 5-10 CTD's, 10 is probably at absolute best if you want to count Alt-Tab crashes but pft, I've just come to accept that as a feature of Bethesda's games lol Around 200 hours here too. Loki sounds luckier than me even, but I've not had anything horridly game breaking other than that stupid civil war quest bug.

And Vroix, according to the Xbox players on sites like Gamespot, etc, and a couple news articles, it's around 581MB on there. If we got really lucky and they gave us higher res textures as well, I'd say it'll still be somewhere under 1GB or so. But, I'd wager it'll be closer to the 581MB and we get nearly the same package.

Thanks for the information, I bet at the first day it launched on Steam the download traffic will be busy. But I guess that depends on the eagerness of Skyrim players.
