9800GT 512 vs 9600GT 1000

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

I had some questions about the XFX 9800GT 512 before i bought it. Heres a link: http://www.xfxforce.com/en-us/products/gra...s/9800GT.aspx#1

Not going to ask if its better than a 8800 GT cause its the same card yes, but what about the 9600 GT 1000MB. Heres a link for it too: http://www.xfxforce.com/en-us/ProductDetai...amp;ModelID=532

Both cards cost almost the same price from where i am getting them (the 9600GT being a little higher). So price is not an issue, tell me about performance, which one should i go for?

Both cards have the same problem ,256bit interface, when you are play over 1680 1050 both cards, dont have enough bandwith for anisotropic and antialiasing,9600 with 1024 mb is better when your using textur packs or other grafiks mods, but 9800 had more pixel power, better choice is the 9800GTX,this card have really good pixel power, and the price is very good. Last but not least,i think 9600 gt with 1024 is a good choice.

i hope,this was a little bit help.

Mhm my choice is limited to nvidia, and the 9800GTX is out of my budget. So those two cards are it i guess. Thanks for tips ! :D

I suggest you going for the 9800 GT that have way more GPU power that the 600 series. Even without that 512MB VRAM I don't even know how the 9600 handles it, to say the truth.

the GT have all features the GTX have, except the speed. Between (among?) those two I have no doubts.

I will recommend HD 4850 ATI... It is better than those you mentioned, also it should be cheaper... Take a look at that then make your choice I say...

Hope it helps...

ATI have good products, it have yet more bless from me now it is AMD, but I can't even think using them until they learn to make good drivers for Linux.
