pohtaytohs
So I want to know if it's possible to, and how I can get Steam Community (shift-tab) in-game while launching through Nexus Mod Manager (and running FOSE, if it makes a difference). Or is there some way to make Steam search for specific processes and inject the Community into it, without launching through the program through Steam? The only reason I have to ask is that the retail version doesn't have a Steam activation key. Rational314
All versions of skyrim require steam, retail or otherwise. If your copy didn't come with an activation key or require steam to access I would suggest you take it back, and purchase a legitimate copy. pohtaytohs
This is the FALLOUT 3 forum, or so I thought. The retail version of FALLOUT 3 cannot be activated in Steam.Check the forum you're in next time, buddy. (Sorry if that came off rude, but this is clearly the Fallout 3 forum.) M48A5
Fallout 3 is a Game for Windows Live game and cannot be integrated into Steamworks. If you bought the game from steam, it has been modified to work with a steam launcher.
pohtaytohs
So just to be clear, I CANNOT use the steam overlay in retail Fallout 3 (while launching with NMM). Correct?
BlackRampage
Correct. If you really want to have that anyway, you could check the steam store for Fallout 3. It can't be all that expensive anymore. Especially now that there's a steam sale.
pohtaytohs
Alright, I just added "fose_loader.exe" as a non-Steam game in Steam, and it now has the Steam overlay (shift-tab). I don't really need NMM anyway since the only mod I'm running is DarnifiedUI. I cannot play Fallout3 without it :D
