Tomrair
So I got a radiant quest from Preston to help the settlers at Greentop Nursery with a ghoul problem, which started a radiant quest to kill all the ghouls at the National Guard Training Yard. That would then unlock Greentop Nursery as a settlement. But now that I've killed all the ghouls there, including the Glowing One that had the quest marker on it, the quest doesn't continue to the next stage, which should be to report my success to the settlers. The quest marker is gone, the location is marked as [cleared] on my map, I've checked it 2 times for any remaining ghouls, but with no result whatsoever - the quest is still marked in my Pipboy as active, i.e. unfinished.I've read that you can simply wait for about a week of in-game time to let the quest fail, but will I be able to unlock Greentop Nursery by a second quest then? And is there any other way to resolve this than letting it fail?
vagabond92
I'm having the exact same issue. Do you remember how you solved it?
jjb54
Okay, first off - DID YOU KILL ALL THE GHOULS? I know, the marker shows the Glowing one ... but you have to insure ALL GHOULS are dead. * In the training yard.* In the bus and cars.* In the building that has the PA behind a lock door where there is a ghoul with it.* ALL floors in the main building.* ALL in the hallway between buildings, where they come down from the roof. Well I think you get the idea? I know, again, it marks the Glowing One, but I have found out through many plays - ALL GHOULS HAVE TO BE DEAD. JimmyRJump
The problem with all radiant quests where you have to go someplace to kill Raiders/Ghouls/Greenskins/whatever is that the quest is 'finished' once the 'boss' is killed. Even when there's fifteen Raiders, kill the leader and you get the notice the quest is done. Like jjb54 said, it is always best to make sure you kill every single resident at the location although eliminating the 'boss' is enough to further the quest. Or try to advance the quest through console commands. The radiant quest has I.D. MinRecruit07. Open the console and type setstage minrecruit07 200. That will give you a message to go talk to the settlers at Greentop Nursery to report your succes. If that's not enough, try setstage minrecruit07 450 to talk to Preston or setstage minrecruit07 500 to end the quest successfully altogether. mokaloka
setstage minrecruit07 200 worked perfect for me. Thank you!
