batsqueak
I dont even know if i'm in the correct area for this, but i'm decently new to trying to mod. i've done minor modding to New Vegas as tests, so I guess i already know how to set a game up for modding, but i'm running into a really weird problem with setting up SSE. Nexus is saying i lack dawnguard.esm, dragonborn.esm, and hearthfire.esm, which, upon looking in the data files, are legit just not there. this doens't make sense, because this is special edition, which comes WITH those dlc. my last save with my khajiit paladin was inside fort dawnguard, so i know i have them and theyre working. i really dont know how to fix this or where to find these files if theyre not in the same folder as skyrim.esm. i've verified my files 3 times in steam but that doesn't make them appeaar, nor does reinstalling the game. if anyone else has had this problem and knows how to fix it, please, i'm ten different kinds of confused. wfandrews
Try verifying your game files. Right click on Skyrim Special Edition in Steam, go to Properties, Local Files, Verify Integrity of Game Files. This will install your DLCs again. If you already have done this don't know what to tell you.
batsqueak
I almost completely forgot i made this post. apologies. i still haven't quite figured it out. i have definitely verified the game files, multiple times in fact. that doesn't seem to be fixing it. i'm just very confused by the whole thing. i've been interacting with the dlcs, so i don't know how i could be using dlc if the esms are missing. i don't know if theyre somehow hidden (although i do have show hidden files checked in my settings for browsing files) or in a different folder.
