kevkiev
As posted a couple times already, I think a Deadly Dragons type mod (in my case, I've got Mighty Dragons - very epic stuff) is a must once you reach a certain level. I remember first installing MD after a Dragon I was chasing was taken out by a mudcrab and a bear. But with that kind of mod installed, Dragons are some of the most fun you can have in the game at higher levels. Man, I still remember one fight with 2 Mighty Dragon fire dragons that happened to spawn together at Winterhold - with the Deadly Spell Impact mod, the place almost looked like Helgen afterwards. What a fight! I haven't checked out "Dragons Hunt in Swarms" yet but, since it's compatible with Mighty Dragons, I'll probably be doing that soon. Might be compatible with Deadly Dragons too, I just dunno.
Glhadiator
I suggest you download and install the Deadly Dragons Mod. I promise you it will give you a whole new perspective on the Dragons in Skyrim.:smile:That actually was the most unwise thing you could have said. If you offer me 3rd party mods to repair an issue then you only confirm what I said :wallbash: And this also proves that you dont understand what I said - I said that the dragons can only be considered powerful in Skyrim but in Morrowind and Oblivion they would be a laugh. More over if you offer me 3rd party mods it means you are unhappy with vanilla Skyrim. In Oblivion such a mod would be useless because all you have to do is move the difficulty slider to the right and presto instant insane difficulty. Your words remind me of cabaret I once saw in which a guy is trying to sell a car to another guy and the more they talk about the car it turns out that it has more and more parts missing or broken. Finally the buyer asks " does this car have anything that is whole?" and the salesman says "yes the ignition keys". So thats what Skyrim is then - a wreck with only the ignition keys intact. So yeah Bethesda cheated us all but hey no problem the 3rd party mods will repair everything and Bethesda will get full price with no extra effort. Here goes some more 'unwise' things; So you see, I bought this car (Skyrim) the other day. I must admit the salesperson (Bethesda) was very good. I couldn't wait to take it out for a spin! And I have to say I enjoyed the ride, but it only had a AM radio (vanilla Dragons). So I went to the store (Nexus) to look for a new stereo (MOD). I found one that was so awesome I had to have it (Download it). The best part is that it didn't cost me anything (Thank you to Modders)! I have since installed 114 options (Mods) on my original car (game). There are currently 16,535 options (Mods) available at the time of this post (Free of Charge!). I guess I could return the car (game) to the dealer (Bethesda) because it needed a lot of work when I purchased it, but the NEXUS garage has turned my car (game) into a souped-up Hot Rod! To the OP; I hope you enjoyed my analogy as much as I enjoyed yours. If you don't like Skyrim you might think of doing something else with your time besides getting on a forum for Skyrim and bashing the game. I personally support all viewpoints. But some posters like to throw threads out there just to get a rise out of people. But I can tell by your post that you aren't one of those people. Well, I'm gonna go take my car for a spin (I got leather seats last night (Ria, a Mod))...I do love it!! p.s. You could always take your keys to a used car lot. But man those guys are worse than the dealership.
kevkiev
I didn't notice this before: More over if you offer me 3rd party mods it means you are unhappy with vanilla Skyrim. Um.... isn't that the main reason we're all here on Nexus?

The only laughable thing about this whole thread is that he is complaining about using mods on a modding site.
Relativelybest
Meh. I like the dragons. They're pretty much the most fun thing about Skyrim - this isn't a game with a lot of variation, and I find that the random dragon encounters break the monotone of raiding dungeons, running errands for people and killing bandits/critters. SFBryan18
I use a Steam mod called x8 dragons which just boosts their health, and x4 damage from NPC's on master. I found deadly dragons to be tedious and the scripts were causing a lot of fps lag.
Psiberzerker
I think they took a somewhat original take on Dragons, with the Dovakiin, shouts, and aspects of Time thing. But then, they went and expanded from Dragons to make it all about Vampires. Ooh, they're going to blot out the sun, and plunge the world into eternal darkness? How original! Yeah, probly running out of ideas...
