Deleted60014821User
I am mostly a noob in all these technical stuff. I notice when I play nowadays got a lot of lag. Is it my pc is dying? Or some other issues?I install 50 plus mods, must I uninstall some??? Updated: I install a software called game booster and the game run 30 to 40 percent faster. Probably upgrade my pc in 2020. Edited January 14, 2019 by Guest

Deleted3507349User
If you've got the Hi-Res DLC, ditch it. It doesn't do all that much and it's a memory hog which will drag your FPS down.

jones177
As your save gets older it takes more resources to maintain it. To test start a new game. All my saves at some point become unplayable. My original save game characters I made in 2015 became unplayable around level 70. They became playable again in 2018 when I upgraded my CPU/GPU. Those saves are all between level 132 and 154 now and in the last couple of months I have been overclocking my GPU and CPU so I can keep playing them. Now they are close to being unplayable again. I won't visit them again until my next major upgrade at the end of this year or the beginning of 2020. I use a i7 8086k overclocked to 5ghz on all cores with a RTX 2080 ti with the power target set to 130% so there is no hardware that I know of on the market today that can run these saves better. I will have to wait. If you've got the Hi-Res DLC, ditch it. It doesn't do all that much and it's a memory hog which will drag your FPS down. My GTX 1080 ti could not handle those textures. I got no frame rate lose but I got the stutter while turning like I did in Skyrim when I did not have ENB configured properly. I have not tried them with the RTX 2080 ti yet. I play at 4k and the only real visual difference I noticed with them was that Dogmeat's coat looked better(besides heads turning brown). With my setup I use up to 7.5gbs vram with the vanilla textures. With the Hi-Res DLC installed that goes up to 10.5.
