skyrim revert to previous patch, is it worth it?

I'm thinking of reverting to version patch 1.1.21.0 seeing as I've come across quite a few glitches and bugged quests!..

 

I hardly use the horse's and read that patch 1.6.89.0 adds mounted combat, if that was one of the patches only new features, I could live without it!..

 

What should I do?

I'm not sure you can keep Steam from updating you. Also, there are tons of mods that would no longer be compatible with the older version. Most I use require at leas 1.5

I was thinking I might have trouble with (SKSE) if I revert, don't think it supports anything below 1.5 anymore, I just hope there's another patch before dawnguard release

I think skse always links to the last couple of versions so that shouldn't be a problem. I don't know how you'd revert backwards though unless you backed up your files before updating (though if you did back up the files you should have kept the appropriate skse version backed up as well). I guess there may be a way to download them elsewhere but that seems sketchy to me.

Yes it is sketchy, and possibly even harmful to your PC and I've yet to use system restore or have to roll back to factory installed in the 2 and a half years I've had this laptop, and I'm not sure if my laptop has norton ghost!..

Many mods do need the latest patch - and a lot of older mods had to be upgraded also.
