Slaiv
first thing which wouldn't be well maybe it would be possible but highly unlikely I think every morrowind player would agree. Multiplayer. Need I say more? ok let's get realistic if I could change something it would definately be putting limits on the playable characters i.e. make it so orcs can only get to do minor spells if that much. and make it so high elves can't get to 100 for strength because they really aren't as physical as the orc. also give bonuses to different species orcs should be able to be stronger than the rest of the ppl. Impossible to make MW online. Just search for it on these forums; you'll find dozens of threads locked by Daerk and Dark0ne with this exact subject, each with the response "It's impossible without redoing the entire source code." There shouldn't be limits. If an Elf worked hard enough, he could get that much strength. If an Orc studied and practised Magic enough, they would be able to learn many spells. Now, my own opinion. Map-marking. Most frustrating thing in MW is not being able to find your way around to a tiny place not marked on the map. And, as usual, a redone combat engine. Xeniorn
A new fighting engine, with more attack types. Also, it would be nice if Morrowind had some really big creatures, Imperfect is the largest thing I've seen, but there is only one of them. It would be great if there were Dragons, not small ones like in Giants-Dragons mod, but dragons as large as a house.
loveme4whoiam
Realism. 'Nuff said. But to make this more than a one-liner, i'll elaborate (becuase i like the sound of my own... typed words. Um.) The fight engine, obviously, needs a damn good thrashing into place. Realistic terrain and NPC effects, and dynamic dialogue which is effected (affected?) by player actions on the small level, not just huge things. A snazzy new graphics engine (i know it was cutting edge when it was released but HL2 and Doom 3 are around the corner, somewhere in the distance) and a decent facial expression engine. Fully destructible terrain taken past just making a big whole in a wall. When i hurl a fireball at a tree i want it to burn, until it begins to rain leaving it a charred black remains. Anything else? Eh, i'll edit if i think of anything.
Rune
These would all be great ideas for TES IV. ... instead of implementing them into Morrowind, that is.
blackmage256
redone fighting and multi mark....heck they could handle it like in ultima online where you can mark runes for different places.... cant forget realistic bargaining supply and demand sort of economics like raven rock won't give you as much for ebony as lets say some armourer far away from an ebony mine...( for those who dont know raven rock is an ebony mining town...)... =--B *trying to figure out how to implement such a thing... and hopeing those in bethseda are listening for oblivion... Smurftech
All of these are exellent Idea's. One thing tho, all of these would be really hard to put into the game without completly ripping apart the game and rebuilding it. altho, what would be good would be a realistic word of mouth system. take for instance this one example: I once Stole a 50k book. unbenounced to me, however, the intire island was swarming with people looking for me, even when it was in a shack that was about 10 days from any settlement. the only person who saw me do it was this preist dude who i then killed. my Surprise was extreme when I teleported into fort moonmorth and was instantly slaughtered by the gaurds what would have been better is like it takes time for the word to get around that your some homacidal maniac. I like the Idea of a needing to eat and sleep reguarly, beening ambused in the outlands, people tha travel from town to town by foot, so like if you needed to find a certan indivdual you have o like reacherch the fellow. and me becoming better at spelling. I find if you use a bow, and shoot somthing at long range, your more likly to hit it at short range, and its the oppersate with a crossbow. Eiade
one word: PHYSICS. morrowind has zero physics of any kind. i think i should be able to bash open an urn with my warhammer, even if its illegal! the only things that ever move are npc's. there is also the problem with walls. i dont really like that when you place an item on the ground near a wall, it can actually go in the wall. because of this, there are many places in the game where overlapping occurs.
