sqigg
I have searched but I couldn't find anything, unless I am half blind. Is there a mod(s) for FO3 that will replace the player's death with per-say a timed knock-down or such. In this play-though I have died a few times, and without exaggeration, it will take about 5 minutes for the game to load my last save. It's really annoying and just looking for an alternative. gromulos
if your saves are taking that long to load, then they are bloated This is "usually" caused by removing mods during a play through which is a HUGE no no
sqigg
if your saves are taking that long to load, then they are bloated This is "usually" caused by removing mods during a play through which is a HUGE no noI haven't removed any mods. I played FO3 modded several years ago, and I've been very picky with what mods I installed this time. So, if I install a mod, it's there til the end. I have about 32 esp based mods installed.I have the GoG version installed (NOT Steam) , ALL auto-saves disabled (no CASM) I only rely on manual saves . I am running this on a high-end Win 10 machine and using MO2. Other than the long load times, my game runs super smooth with no lag or crashes, so far. ;) Edited January 30, 2019 by sqigg
blackrat99
As gromulos says, there would appear to be something wrong with your game or computer if it takes that long to reload. Do you have a space problem? Maybe defrag your disks. In answer to your question, I believe Arwen's Realism Tweaks gets rid of death with one of the optional modules https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/7565 but it's a major overhaul and not for the faint of heart. gromulos
Doesn't matter if it's steam or GOG version, either way there is a problem some where My question to you would be: LOOT?WRYE FLASH?FO3Edit? my guide, at the very least give it a read and see if anything "can" help you :) https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2247384-fallout-3-beginners-guide-to-modding/
jjb54
... Plus also, something that most people ( including me ) forget. If you update a mod during the game, that can create issues. If you add a ' small mod ' during the game, that too can cause issues. It really sounds like you have saved game issue ... I have to agree w/the other posts.
