HAMPOLLO
I've been playing Fallout 3 for a pretty long time but I haven't tried any of the DLCs until now. While Anchorage looks really nice, it is dull as dirt. It reminds me of one of those on-rails FPS games from the early 2000s. Boring, boring, boring. It's almost killing my enthusiasm for the rest of the game and it's becoming a chore to finish. I just have to clear the Pulse Field now, but it's a real drag. Thinking of going to Point Lookout next. Hope it's better than Anchorage. Edited July 22, 2012 by HAMPOLLO
M48A5
Point Lookout is much better than OA or Mothership Zeta. You will find a lot of argument as to which is better, Point Lookout or The Pitt.
Talwyn224
Point Lookout is more of a Sandbox DLC than any of the others in that it allows free range exploration of the map. You're not railroaded into "do this, go here and don't deviate" as you are in Op. Anchorage. PL is probably the best DLC for FO3 followed by The Pitt IMO. JkKILER
I personally perfer the pitt to Point Lookout, dont get me wrong, both are way better than operation Anchoridge, but i really enjoy not cheating and collecting the items from the pitt the way they were intended for that DLC. The pitt makes you feel not like the god you are in the Vanilla. It strips you of your equipment and provides an interesting challenge. Of course this is an opinion and Point Lookout is also very fun to play.
Kendo 2
Broken Steel adds a lot of content to the vanilla FO3 Wasteland. My only real complaint against the DLCs are the new 'bullet sponge' creatures like the albino radscorpion and that Ghoul Reaver thing. OA and Zeta were a waste of time for me. My picks would be Broken Steel, The Pitt, then Point Lookout.
Sulo
Are all the DLCs as dull as Operation Anchorage? Not at all. Anchorage is - by far - the weakest. Zeta may be a bit boring for you - but it has a very cool setting. Lookout and Pitt have nice stories and cool settings while Broken Steel is a continuation of the main story after the ruckus at the water purifier. I like them all with Zeta being my favourite anyway. I like this alienesque 50's flair.
7thsealord
Agreed that Anchorage is, story-wise, the weakest of the official DLCs. But the stuff one gets out of it is pretty good, and I really do like the scenery. ;) Edited July 23, 2012 by 7thsealord
