Blu02
Cheaters only have themselves to blame. It's ridiculous to blame the freedom we have on the PC-version. As most others here, I only install immersive mods. Especially realistic stuff that adds much harder and advanced gameplay, and visual mods to fix the depressing console-graphics. The only times I use console-commands is for taking screenshots, change FOV, and fix bugs. I think mods is what makes the elderscrolls games what they are, and I really cant imagine playing it with my hands tied. I dont think I played Skyrim more than 10 hours before I really felt I had to open Photoshop and start fixing things (Still having nightmares about those lowres textures :psyduck: )
omelette01
i agree with all the post here its a shame no one from the kotaku writer can see our "biased" comment here about how good it is to have control about how we want our game to fell and play, and just like @PharmakosChroster have said even the developer learn a lot from mods and take their idea for the next game. because they can gauge hat the community like or don't like from the mods download etc, and Mods do make the game playtime almost limitless because of the possibilities, even my friend still play duke nukem 3d with all the mods
eLucifer
They are if they are abused only. I mean, console commands are pretty much mandatory when it comes to fixing bugs unless you like saving/loading and hoping for the best better. And mods add things that Bethesda should have added in the first place. Like dual weild sheathing and parrying or staves on back when sheathed. Anyone who says console commands or mods ruin the game is a jealeous console gamer and needs a new gaming PC. Sure we don't have Dawnguard but at least our games look better and don't crash every single minute.
Enatiomorph
Kotaku are apparently a bunch of idiots. Mods and console commands enhance your game.
SergeantGrrock
Can't think of much that hasn't been said except I agree with those who said you need the console and mods just to get through the buggy mess we all love anyway. Didn't read the article... it is obvious (from several posts) that the writer had little knowledge of what they were writing about. A lot of that going on nowadays thanks to the 'net. Any idiot with an opinion can be "published".
