IndorilTheGreat
Are people forgetting that I started the SPAM here? I should really start posting in the "Newbie" forum more often... Also, it's quite tasty when you fry it. ;)

bben46
Spam is wonderful stuff. I grew up on it. As a poor kid in the 1950s we thought everyone ate Spam for Sunday dinner. I learned many ways to prepair spam, from deep fried to raw (Spam Sushi?). From in a salad to baked with cloves and brown sugar glaze. I have even had Spam in spaghetti sauce. Seriously, I ate a LOT of spam. The Fishy Stick is the traditional gift to a forum newcomer. But I see no reason why we can't give a can of spam, or even the NEW delacasy - SPAM Sticks. as well. BTW, do you have the recipe?
K00L
Technically these are called crunchy SPAM sticks, but I left out the crunchy. The recipe that's from the website with the picture is this: 1 cn Spam luncheon meat; (12 oz)1 Egg2 tb Milk3 tb All-purpose flour1/4 ts Freshly-ground black pepper1 c Instant mashed potato flakesKetchup Heat oven to 375 degrees. Slice Spam into 8 pieces; cut each slice in half lengthwise. Beat together egg and milk. Combine flour and black pepper. Coat each Spam slice with flour mixture. Dip in milk mixture. Roll in potato flakes. Place on baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Serve with ketchup. The person who made them didn't rate them very well.Hormel actually has a recipe on their website. So does eHow. I might try one of these sometime. Werne
Well, since SPAM is the only type of food I can afford (well, that and military food :yucky:), I think I'll stick with it. Besides, I don't like fish sticks. I thought Spam is some kind of cheap fake meat replacement and you people were posting it to make fun of it......Nope, SPAM is the same as this (if you ever ate it, you know what it is):http://www2.hgk.hr/znakovi/kvaliteta/slike/gavril_mes_dor.jpgI practically grew up on it, it's the only thing my parents could afford after the war. Iv000
http://www.madmoizelle.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/hand.png My parents aren't buying any Garvilovic products anymore because they say it has ingredients in it that aren't exactly healthy. (Dad had a heart attack and we're all on a healthy diet now)I don't think I tried mesni dorucak, I did eat lots of pasteta and I liked it. I'll try this one day. brokenergy
SPAM stands for Shoulder Pork AMerican. It is ground pork shoulder with spices added, and cooke in the can. It saved both the Brits and the Russians from starvation in WW2. In Hawaii, it is a delicacy. I happen to like both, and I have to get both next month.I actually thought SPAM was short for Spiced Ham. Spam is internet for pointless posts that are post.
