Cursor on Dual Monitor

After the 1.6 patch my game constantly has 2 cursors, the in game one and the windows one and they don't sync up either.

I am launching the game using SKYSE , im using ENB graphics as well as NMM mods. However these mods were identical before the patch and worked just fine 1.6 hit and bam I have this annoying cursor.

I have tried disabling visual themes (compatibility) on every executable in the Skyrim directory

I have tried windowed mode and fullscreen mode (cursor on both)

I have changed the windows mouse settings to not let programs change the mouse themes.

I have disabled in game steam.

I have tried opening a menu and alt tabbing out and back in. Same with console

all to no avail I cant seem to get rid of it. I would attach a screenshot but the windows cursor isn't showing up in the screens.

Dual monitors are a strange entity. a lot of times, like now, the mouse gets trapped to an active window. When you alt/tab out, it loses sync. I think at update 1.45 or so, The mouse was trapped to the window. I think it was done so you had a harder time disableing STEAMypile and still play your game. The second monitor extends the desktop another X,Y grid beyond your primary screen. Although your mouse probably works on the second screen, Skyrim sees that as outside its active window and loses sync because of it. a lot of programs have problems in extended desktiop panels.

For some reason, when you cut down on both monitor resolutions, some programs start working normally. I have no idea what your resolutions are, but try setting them to standard VGA 1024x768 and start your game up. I'd be interested in knowing if it works.

I am running both monitors at 1920x1080 changing resolutions doesn't fix the issue

All the ideas in the linked post were tried.. its not a driver issue, i've already disabled visual themes, and its not my antivirus

If a program has a windowed mode or windowed fullscreen mode I use it and not one other game has this issue there's something wrong with skyrim

1.5 everything runs flawlessly 1.6 all of a sudden I have the cursor.

I'm not one to necro a thread very often, but I'm interested to know if you found a fix for the issue. I'm currently running into this issue right now, and I've been looking to see if there was a patch that I'm missing from Steam or if this was never fixed in the first place.

Looking forward to a response and thanks in advance.

i am having this issue too. it's very annoying as i have missed a conversation because when i clicked a response the mouse was out of sync and it put me to the desktop as if i had alt-tabbed. but i didn't. very frustrating as i now have to go through that whole conversion again.

i am running a lot of mods (55) which i installed with Nexus Mod Manager. i don't know if one of these is causing the issue. but i had the cursor problem before i installed any of them.

i have tried disabling visual themes (compatibility) on every executable in the Skyrim directory, i have changed the windows mouse settings so the mouse won't change with mouse themes.

i am launching the game using SKYSE since SkyUI requires it and i think other mods do too.
