Multiple master files selected for load.

The CK simply loves to give me this error message:

Invalid File Selection

Multiple master files selected for load. Load operation aborted.

It seems like the CS could open up more master files (.esms) at once than the CK can. It is seriously crippling. It is affecting the structure of the mods and compatibility patches I am building.

Does anyone know if there is a setting to change to allow the opening of more master files? Does anyone know if there is an alternate tool available other than the CK? I have seen some suspicious things that make me think other people can do this thing that I can not.

Is there some other way for me to get past this problem? (I do not have modders rights to merge all of these master files and redistribute the result. These mods have to remain in separate files.)

In Skyrim Special Edition, this file would be CreationKit.ini under your installation folder, the default being C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition.

Life saver you. Kudos incomming!

You also need this line in the [Archive] section of SkyrimEditor.ini

SResourceArchiveList2=Skyrim - Shaders.bsa, Update.bsa, Dawnguard.bsa, Hearthfires.bsa, Dragonborn.bsa

and there are two lines for the [General] section

bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1

bAllowMultipleMasterFiles=1

I have everything set correctly in my SkyrimEditor.ini, but after I start the CK, click my master file, set the active file, and say 'yes to all' for 'normal' errors, it just hangs up, like it's forever loading, becoming unresponsive. I've verified the CK files, even deleted and reloaded, with no difference. I know it can be glitchy, but I've never had it do this before. It worked fine, but has been a few months since I used it, so this has come out of the blue. I have no idea what's going on, anyone have any ideas? I've been trying for a couple days now with no results.
