Samedongo
Hello. This is my first time working on a mod for the nexus. I'm here to show a WIP of a 3d model I've been working on. The basic idea is to have a specific container for fusion cores to be built in settlements, since to me is a bit immersion breaking the fact that there's seems to be no special containers or storage procedures for fusion cores in the army before the great war. So, this mod aims to fix that. I'm trying to make it lore frienly. Currently the texture is WIP; I'm learning to use Substance painter (I was a Quixel Suit user, but decided to try new grounds) So if you have suggestions or any comment, it would be of great help Currently, I'm planning the have a small animation opening and receiving the core, also to have a simple animated UI for the small monitor. Since is my first mod, I don´t know anything about the pipe line to put this in the creation kit, if anyone could point me to any useful resource or tutorial that could help me, that would be greately appreciated. Also, I know there are a few fusion core recharger mods out there, If anyone is interested in swap meshes, or help me to set up this one, would be awesome. Anyways, thanks! Sephrajin
Looking good, so thx for (upcoming) sharing your work! Except maybe that, to me, it looks more like a charger than a regular (fusion core) storage container. But hey, maybe one needs to enter the proper code for the container to 'spit out' a fusion core?(not that you should add this, just imaginative RP speech) Keep it up, Gl hf :)
Radsweeper
Well first off this is very nice and I am sure most would agree its lore friendly. Second: don't go overboard with animated UI for the screen. Yeah it would be nice but its not a deal breaker, polish and release what you have -which is great- and be more gradually ambitious on your following projects. People tend to enjoy solid mods over cool eye candy IMHO. Thirdly: Keep modding dude!
Samedongo
Hello! Thanks for the reply! Here I have an updated texture of the container. I think I'm going to leave it with this ammount of detail. Except maybe that, to me, it looks more like a charger than a regular (fusion core) storage container. But hey, maybe one needs to enter the proper code for the container to 'spit out' a fusion core?(not that you should add this, just imaginative RP speech) Keep it up, Gl hf  Yeah, I agree, this looks more like a fusion core recharger. Anyways, I tried to make something that had a receptacle and move the cores in to a zero emission container, this way, making possible to store "X" ammount of them. If I'd put visually the area or containers where the fusion cores are stored, I think if the player wants to store more than X ammount, could be immersion breaking. About the code you mention, sounds cool, I always thought that fusion cores should be extremely scarce items, so as power armor. If this mods turns out to be a recharge unit, I'd completelly remove the rest of the cores of vendors, making you able to hold just a few, and require to recharge them. Thanks! Yeah, I'll leave it on it's current state visually (Just a small model animation, similar to when you open a container in game) I'll me putting this in game in the next days, while I download and learn to use the tools needed. And yeah, I have a few cool ideas for models and textures, so I'll try to keep moding ;D
Radsweeper
Its late, I am tired but I had to ship this under the door. I like the visual state, its understated but appropriate. Its army. Also it dawned on me that this would make a great GENERATOR mod! Have a spare fusion core? Slip in inside - and Voila, instant power!
