mnm2317
I'm sure this is a dumb question, but do we need to have Skyrim in order to have the Skyrim CK? No chance in just being able to make mods without the $60 purchase, eh? :\ For those that are REALLY curious. I'm asking because I donno how well I'll be at mods, so before I purchase my PC copy of Skyrim I'd like to simply see what modding is like and make a purchase afterwards. Obviously if I wanted to publish anything, I'd assume the price as that's just fair. :)
DavidD
Well, if you want any files at all to work with: yes. The creation kit reads the files from your Skyrim installation
David Brasher
Maybe you have a friend or relative who owns Skyrim, and they would let you play with the CK on their computer for a few hours before you decide whether or not you want to buy the game. mnm2317
Thanks D for the info.Good idea Brasher, but I've been asking around and sadly all my gamer friends are console based or RTS based, so no PC Skyrim's out there :(. Perhaps 1 last question, and ditch effort:are there any good videos that really show you what it's like to try out the CK? I'm sure there's tutorials, and I'll check those out, but are there any you recommend? Or, and this is a stretch, would anyone be willing to make a video showing the CK to someone like me who, basically, would need to buy the CK?
