Freeze after Carriage Travel

This is driving me crazy, please someone be kind to help me find a fix or a workaround, this happens almost every time I travel by carriage, once I arrive at the destination the game freezes. Looking at my papyrus log it looks like the carriage driver wanted to say something:

But couldn't and crashed.

I've an idea for a workaround:

To mute the carriage driver, so he never tries to tell me anything once we arrive at the destination. It would free me from this freeze.

But i have no idea how to do that...

just to confirm, try fast traveling to any location where you would have crashed when traveling via carriage (thats clicking on a location, and teleporting their without a carriage). to see if this is exclusive to carriages, and after traveling, initiate dialogue with the carriage driver in the hold you just fast traveled to, to help narrow down the point of crashing. (you will need to lower the game difficulty from survival so you fast travel)

 

if you also crash when fast traveling, then potentional causes are much bigger, and would null the papyrus log.

 

looking at your mods, i would assume, if the crash is because of what the papyrus log tells you, then the issue would most likely be connected to your mods that edit dialogue.

their the only mods that seem like it would be connected to the issue (and thats assuming they even affect carriages). however papyrus logs are not reliable source for problem solving.

 

but likewise this issue could also be caused because you either have a heavy scripted setup (i notice quite a few of your mods that are scripted) or conflicts. if too many scripts fire, the papyrus gets overwhelmed, which results in CTDs,

Immersive Citizens I just installed hoping it would help work around this freeze. I Uninstalled inncredible, but just prior to installing IC since it advises as incompatible.

Only mod I really removed mid play was a smashed patch I had done. Because it made a lot of character customizations I have messed up.

Could it be the culprit?

I will test fast traveling around towns to see if it also freezes. Its a freeze, not a CTd.

their is potentional the smash patch could be the reason, as the data would of stored in the saved games, the only real way to know is if you load a save prior to uninstalling the smash patch, to see if you get freezing again.

 

as for freezing, they go hand in hand with CTD. the only difference is, freezing is arguably worse as that now brings your hardware into the equation.

Ok, so I gave up, and started a whole new game.

After several hours playing, this started to happen again.

This time no new mod was installed or removed. I did had to update some mods thanks to march 14th game update..

 

I noticed one thing however,

I was playing fine while my falkreath house was the smallest. Upon upgrading it a tier higher, main hall, this crash/freeze came back.

Luckly i have a save right before i made the upgrade, gonna resume playing from that to check if that's the cause for real.
