ladywolf
Hi, my name is Mae, i played elder scrolls since morrowind up to skyrim. I happened to land on this awesome website when (like million others) trying to find a mod to fix the inventory system of skyrim. Long story to short, when i browse the site, i found some terms that i do not understand and hope somebody can enlighten me.1. What does 'Role Friendly' and 'Unrole Friendly' means?2. What does Vanilla settings, vanilla ai and other terms with vanilla means? Thank you for the answers! Mae
JimboUK
I don't know about the first one, it's not something I've noticed. By vanilla people mean untouched, how things are out of the box. The vanilla game refers to an unmodded game, vanilla settings are settings that haven't been altered.
Error404NotFound
Role friendly?Do you mean Lore friendly?Lore friendly means that the mod stays within the setting of the game. So it wont add pink robots to Skyrim or add medieval knights into Fallout or Horses to World of Tanks.
Georgiegril
Are you sure you aren't referrring to "lore friendly/" (Lysdexics unite!) Lore friendly or un- means that the mod fits in with the original game's history, technology, customs, etc. So, for example, a mod that adds microwave popcorn into Skyrim would be lore unfriendly. Unless, of course it was a dwemer steam machine popping the corn... then it gets into the gray area. What is lore friendly/unfriendly is sometimes a matter of opinion. It's your Skyrim, so you get to make the call. There are players who are really into sticking to the original lore and some who enjoy going way outside of it. It's all good! The label is just to help you find the mods that are to your taste. cheers! edit: oops, 404 must type faster!
