yeh i have the UFO which i just turned off then in data files, i also had a few custom race companions i turned them off as well but nothing changed. Should i remove them completely in NMM?

If those mods added script files too, those script files might mess with dawnguard, I'd completely remove them and then start a new game and see what happens, un-checking them in the loader might not be enough to stop dawnguard error or bugs!..

remove those mods, meshes, textures and script files and esp and esm files to do with those mods!..

restarted the quest line and removed all of my mods but she still thinks i have someone with me, i waited over a hundred hours as well. Not to keen of starting a new game considering ive finished most quests and im level 67.

I had to do a console command to turn myself into a vampire as the npcs wouldn't recognize me as one im not sure if that is having any effect

well i fixed my issue with using the set playerfollowercount to 0 command. Seems like i had an invisible follower somewhere. Wish i knew about that command yesterday could of saved some hours

Same problem here, lvl 49 with 75% done main and sidequests, as well as several follower mods b/c I've already beat vanilla. setplayerfollowercount 0 is all I could do as well.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D found this, and it fixed my problem! I have about 20 companion mods (ive been looking for some to tide me over til Vilja is released for Skyrim), and i think installing/uninstalling them, along with UFO, made my game think i had around 10 followers XD
