Player Character into an NPC?

Is it possible to simply copy your character from a save-file and enter him/her into the NPC actor list in the CK?

If someone can make this happen, it would be much appreciated.

It would also be cool if we can export player character into Skyrim NPC Editor

You should have posted this in the mod request section, or at best the mod talk forum, but you're not the first to bring this up and the last I read up on this nobody had been able to figure out how to accomplish it. I guess it was possible in Oblivion, but something was changed and it doesn't _seem_ possible in Skyrim. Of course people are discovering new things all the time so maybe someone will figure it out. If you try a search you might be able to find the thread.

As far as I can tell (Still new to this CK myself) you'd have to create the char from scratch, including skills, and so forth. Make them able to be a Follower so you can equip them in game, since the lists in CK are limited, unless you mod specific items for them. I've experimented with a few NPCs myself, and it's complicated. So far, the best I've been able to do is a kid, who's father was killed, and has the stats of a low level Hunter, but I haven't gotten him to Follow me yet.

It's not that hard to recreate manually though. Note the amount of steps on each slider you have made on your character ingame from left to right, and then recreate it on an NPC in CK. Takes a little longer to fix than using some program (If there are any that can copy faces yet), but "luckily" there aren't that many sliders in Skyrim compared to previous titles for shaping your face, so it doesnt take more than ~15 minutes to do.

You'll pretty much have to create a new NPC in the creation kit, but for the appearance, this mod makes it really easy to copy right from the game...

Here's a strange story also...

I use another mod that makes your character essential. There is a feature that was added that turns him into a ghost after he goes down again. So I was trying this mod out and saw that after I because a ghost, my body was on the floor. Then, I came back to life, but my original body was still where it had fallen. So I opened the console and resurrected the body and there was a duplicate of me alive and well in NPC form. It would be impossible to export this guy, but it was funny to see because it was identical.

@SFBryan18: Well that's a start. Did the identical NPC of yourself have normal Dialogue?

If this would happen to me, i would just use the "Showracemenu" console command to change how I look.

Then that would solve my answer.

SFBryant's story reminds me that you create a duplicate of your player ingame via console command:

player.placeatme 000000014

000000014 being the reference for the player character.

I know how to do this! Well I forgot but when I get home I'll try it and tell you the steps its real easy all you do is export your characters face by using the console commands and then you use the Creation Kit to make an NPC, or a follower, or what ever you want Edited by GRRB
