NodTuGud
I'm not sure I'm really going to buy Dawnguard. I never played the vampire/werewolf characters in Skyrim even when I could. It seems like this is just an altogether different game, what little i know of it. It seems like Beth is using Skyrim's name to make a couple of bucks on a vampire vs warrior knight game . I'd really like to know what the Skyrim players PC think of it. Is it any good or is just a vampire game?
Blu02
It's not just about vampires. It's actually pretty huge for a DLC, it has a lot of new gear, new magic, new puzzles, weapons, dragons, dialogs/voice actors, unique items, architecture, environments, side-quests, etc. It's kinda hard to describe more without spoilers, but there is a third faction involved (Not playable though). I had a really epic run with it this weekend anyway, and soon I will do it again but from the other factions point of view and story outcome. That's at least ~20x2 hours of joy for me, combined with tons of new DG-based mods, which is well worth the money if you ask me!
Blackraptor31
I got it for the xbox when it first came out and really enjoyed it. Obviously didn't have to worry about mod conflicts then. I'm going to wait until I stop seeing all these DAWNGUARD IS TEH BUGGEDZ!!!!!1 threads and make sure all my installed mods are compatible before getting it for PC. Illiad86
I'm waiting until it's packaged along with all the DLCs that will come out. I made the mistake of buying Oblivion's DLCs individually, never doing that again. Plus, I got the game running and looking pretty nice. Don't wanna install Dawnguard just to find out its going to destroy my save games or I have to remove mods I really like. Heard it's pretty buggy, but what isn't from Bethesda :P Edited August 7, 2012 by Illiad86

I picked the vampire side for my first run... and to be honest, I hardly use the vampire powers. However, I'm still really enjoying the quest line. The dungeons are well made, it was nice to see some new enemy types, and I really like a certain place you get to visit. I do plan on playing the other side after this and I'm sure it'll be a blast. Edit: I run close to 50 mods. I have not had any conflicts so far. Edited August 8, 2012 by icestormganon
vineyard
Beth, lied, they claimed DG is no bigger than SI, but from my point of view, the forgotten vale alone is bigger than SI.

Seriously, you must have forgotten how big SI was. The DLCs may be the similar length in time, but not in added area.
Deklend
while i didnt personally buy it(it was gifted to me from a friend on steam) it's been a blast so far. I do experience the occasional CTD or lockup now that I didnt before, but it's not excessive. Also you can tell there was a LOT of love put into this Expac/DLC. I mean the Soul Cairn alone...no other place in any game has inspired both so much awe and loathing at the same time for me.
muezk
I've never played as a vampire/werewolf for more than an hour, but so far it's enjoyable whether you want to play as either or not in my opinion. Aside from it reminding me of Underworld, it's worth the extra hours of game play & new add-ons.
billyro
I'm not buying it until the price goes down below $10. I'm not wasting money on a vampire orientated DLC when there's no guarantee I'd enjoy it.
