Fizel1520
I've seen other people have a similar issue but mine seems different and no one could help the old ones anyways. I have somewhat recently switched from NMM to Vortex and wanted to nuke so I could start fresh. I have too many mods anyways. I go and try to uninstall and get a red 'Failed to remove mod' message. It says Vortex needs to access "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamappas\common\Skyrim\data\vortex.deployment.json.oRjS2p.tmp" vut it's write protected. When you configure directories and access rights you need to ensure Vortex can still access data directories. This is usually not a bug in Vortex. Yeah all that and now I'm just confused, tired, and just need help. I'm not a great programmer or able to find out all my issues, I usually rely on the programs actually working correctly. I have version 0.17.8 of Vortex (it just updated me a minute ago so I assume it's the latest) and I never actually told Vortex to go to the 86 files, I usually have all my stuff in the normal Program Files. But I also can't figure out what the exact issue is and how to fix it. Pickysaurus
Did Vortex crash on you at any point during deployment? It's possible that file is still locked. Can you see it in your data folder?
