How do I re-position a piece of jewelry using bodyslide and then save my changes?

I want to move a nose stud because it's hidden inside of my character's nose because of the nose's oddly narrow shape. Also, I want to duplicate this stud and put it on my character's lip.

you need to use Outfit Studio

File - Import Nif - Locate the Stud (Mesh File) ensure that it is the Reference as indicated by being Green - Right click on the Reference - and Select Move - then play around with the sliders (in the box that popups) until its in the correct position.

then Export the Nif, and overwrite the Stud Mesh File (Nif)

Note: Their is no Femalehead.nif, so alot of it will be guessing. you could import the body, to atleast get a better idea of where it should be placed. but again it will be guessing.

Do I export with or without reference?

The last time I tried this, it caused CTD until I uninstalled the mod that I was trying to edit.

Can I duplicate the nose stud and then move the duplicated part over to the lip?

without reference, as the stud would not be applied to the female body (it would be applied to the head, but since this can not be imported, you would export without reference).

has the Stud been Cleaned via SSE Nif Optimizer, as well as compressed. if the stud is from Oldrim, and includes any oldrim cubemap, it will need to be Compressed to bc7 else, it will CTD when inspecting.

i dont really deal with jewlery so i would not know, i only know clothing and armor. but what i have written applies to anything that can be part of the body.

Additional Information

1 thing to note: Export With Reference would apply to anything, that will be apart of the Body (so if you did manage to Import a femalehead mesh file, then you would most definitely export with reference, as the Stud would be Apart of the Head), the only times you export without reference is when apparel already includes part of the body, Gloves and Boots would require you to export without reference if Hands and Feet are not Visible). where as the Cuirass (Torso) would require you to export with reference.

so a quick rundown:

Gloves (Hands Not Visible) = Export Without Reference (so in bodyslide all you see is the Gloves, nothing else, that means no visible female body)

Gloves (Hands Are Visible) = Export With Reference (so in bodyslide all you see is the Gloves + Hands - Nothing Else)

Boots (Feet Not Visible) = Export Without Reference (so in bodyslide all you see is the Boots, nothing else, that means no visible female body)

Boots (Feet Are Visible) = Export With Reference (so in bodyslide all you see is the Boots + Feet - Nothing Else) <-- Especially Applies to High Heels, as high heels almost always have the Feet Visible.

Helmet = Export Without Reference - (same as above)

Jewelry + Anything Applied to the Head = Same As Above

Cuirass ( and anything applied to the Torso) = Export with Reference - (so in bodyslide you see the torso armor, as well as the Female Body) <-- Always Export with CBBE Body Reference

so basically anything that is Applied to the Torso (this can include Accessories, such as Cloaks, Dragon Wings, etc etc), is the only Thing you Export with CBBE Reference.

Gloves, Helmets and Boots, does not really Change Via the Body Proportions, which is why they dont require a Reference body, however Anything Equipped to the torso, absolutely changes based on body proportions, which is why they must include a body reference, not too mention Physics is appled to the Body, which then Apply to the anything Equipped to the Torso for the most part. that includes, Breast, Belly and Butt Physics.

The Female Head never changes, relavtively speaking, so helmets, and jewelry would never need to adjust to a different sized head, so that is why they do not require a reference body, same applies to gloves and boots, the Femalehands + female feet should be included with these depending on if they are visible through the Boots and or Gloves, (Such as Heels would almost defintely require the Femalefeet reference, and likewise, any glove that you can see the hand would also require a femalehands reference applied to it) <--

Note: This entire Post Assumes we are only Talking about CBBE and Anything Made For CBBE, i will state that any Jewelry that is made specifically for Vanilla or Another Body Type (that is not CBBE), Will Require you export with Reference, as the CBBE Female head will be different to Vanilla and other Body Types.

Note: The CBBE Body Reference should not be Included when dealing with Gloves + Helmet + Footwear (only their respective mesh should be included if applicable)

Note: i know this much more then you asked for, but i figured i would right this down anyway  think of it as insight.

The nose stud is from ks jewelry for SSE.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/15422

It says on the page that the stud may clip or float through my character's head, which is why I need to reposition it.

I'd also like to duplicate it and put the 2nd stud on the upper lip.
