azurumi
I am trying to get a skyrim mod to work in skyrim special edition. It adds some armor and weapons. The mod is called " Claymore Gear " By Blaqk Horizon. The sword works perfect, but the armor....when I go to craft the armor it shows correctly in the smith menu. But when I try to wear the claymore outfit it just uses the vanilla fur armor visuals instead. Is there a obvious reason as to why this is happening and how to fix it?I googled for hours. But I cant find anything and I am a complete noob.I tried using a NIF optimizer and editing it in the skyrim creation kit. I also tried installing it by dragging all the files into DATA folder manually and I tried using a mod manager.Same results regardless.
Deleted58783396User
the armor in question is female only, so the only thing i can think of is, if you are attempting to equip this armor on a male character, then it will default to whatever armor the author set for male equilvent, in this case fur armor. usally when an author creates a gender specific armor, the opposite gender will use 1 of skyrim's default armor or clothing. the reason why it is showing up correctly in the crafting menu, is because the author probably set both the male and female ground models to the same (which is literally what the armor will look like when dropped on the ground) <-- the ground model, is what the crafting preview uses. and likewise what it looks like when dropped on the ground or found in a chest. basically a preview of what the armor will look like.
