gsmanners
Levels are really just another form of "scoring" in a game. If you using console commands or exploits or you grind, you're really just cheating yourself. Earn your score, and it'll feel like you really scored. Otherwise, what's the point in even having a level?
Stemin
I have 2 characters above level 78, and one character at 81.5 in stock Skyrim. It's really not as bad as people make it out to be if you just put the hours in. Honestly, the worst are the ones you use normally, One-Handed, Two-Handed, Destruction. All the other stuff levels pretty fast. You can play the percentage game and switch guardian stone's often while taking advantage of things like Lover's Comfort, or you can grind it out, whatever you choose to do, but I usually just play a normal game. There's too many people who want to throw the words 'roleplaying' or 'immersion' around and limit themselves. I play the role Bethesda wanted us to play. I'm the dragonborn. I'm a member of all the factions and the most powerful, and dangerous man in Skyrim. Edited August 13, 2012 by Stemin

You're cheating yourself. When I was growing up, we called them 'cheat codes' for a reason.
RagnarTheRedd
I have 2 characters, both @ lvl 81.5. It requires a lot of forced leveling. Some of the skills can be leveled while being AFK. Like restoration, block, light and heavy armor, even alteration if you have the gear to reduce mana cost to 0.How can you level theese skills while afk ? Light and Heavy armor: move into a corner and let some skeever or wolf or something like that attack you, but keep checking it for a while. If you get pushed too deep in the corner it won't attack you anymore. This requires some higher amount of HP or a few +HP regen items.Block: similar to armor: choose a narrow corridor or a corner. Use weight on your right mouse button and let something hit the shield.Restoration: Use healing in one hand and a spell that drains your own HP (don't ask, it's a no spoiler section) in the other. Again, use weights on your mouse buttons. An alternative is to go to HH courtyard - no spoilers.Alteration: Telekinesis. It'll eat away your mana in no time, so you need -100% mana cost EQ for this. Some other skills can be leveled quite easily but it requires you to click and click and click. Weights won't do.hmm fair enough :D but i will still download some uncapper cause its kinda more logical.. its dumb that when i reach lvl 55(as i am now) i have to level up my other skills like block (and i dont eaven use it) to gain perks for alchemy.. dosent make sense at all :D but thanks anyway nice technique :D
Dovahkiin069
I reached Level 60 yesterday. Leveling is slow, but I'm still not in a position where I have to start leveling skills I don't specialize in. I definitely intend to make my character as powerful as possible, though. Since I now have the Aetherium Crown, I was thinking about combinding the Lover Stone with one of the three main skill stones for 35% faster skill leveling. Mods and console commands. Vanilla level cap is 81.5 ...That's a bit of a random place to put the cap, isn't it? o_O I expected it to be 100, but even putting it at 80 would have made more sense than 81.5. In my fourth char i used the console command to level up faster, and can reach lvl 82 .And you can even reach lvl 159 using the console. I've already reached that lvl, and believe, nothing can kill you.
Relativelybest
Er, being a JOAT, or a MOAT and trying to get the highest level is pretty much the exact opposite of role playing. It isn't if your character is a JOAT/MOAT. I mean, it's not like all my characters are polymathic perfectionists. But my primary one definitely is. StayFrosty05
My Dovahkin is currently level 52 pushing hard for level 53, I doubt he will be able make 54....I much prefer to RP my games and have never enjoyed playing magic user roles.....My Dovahkins build is Major: Archery, Stealth, One Handed (Duel Wield), Light Armor, Smithing and Alchemy...Minor: Lock Picking and Enchanting.....I do use a mod that gives two perk points at a time, as I don't see why he wouldn't be able to eventually excel in his chosen Majors build....But I cannot see him managing to scrape past early level 50's unless I spam the game and do everything or uncap it. Deleted3507349User
Sounds familiar...in the same kind of way that every time you have a 50/50 chance you'll guess wrong 90% of the time. EDIT: Blast, accidentally replied to the wrong post....oh well. Edited August 14, 2012 by digitaltrucker

I disagree....as it effects no-one else it is not cheating...though you are correct in someone being able to cheat themselves....but for the fact that they either console command or over power themselves so much that they are no longer enjoying their game or adversely are so against such things that they cheat themselves out of the fun they could have from whatever particular mods or console commands that may in fact make their games a more enriching experience for themselves. I like a challenge and a good dose of realism myself and so thus use mods and console commands to enrich the game experience I desire. Ragosch
Pickpocketing is one of the easiest to level, you just need to save and reload. I went to the thieves guild to train pickpocketing with my first character. I blew a lot of money for nothing since chances barely increase. A skill level of 15 isn't that horrible to start with. The higher the value of the stolen item, the more XP you get. Why not just use the console then, if you cheat anyway? These are the things, which ruin the fun, I would not suggest it to anyone. Pickpocketing has a minimal chance of 10% to fail, even if you are a master in it. So better think about it twice, if you really need that stuff, you are going to steal. You will fail at least 1 in 10 times. Even real life thieves do not steal anything they could, there is always a risk to take and that is why any thief should wage risk against gain and just attempt to steal, if that is really worth it.
