  1. 1. What should I do with this Race when its complete?

    • Stop
    • Add a Dwemer Camp,Town,Hold,Fort
    • Add a small quest to explain why they are back.
    • Make another lore Race.
    • Improve it.
    • Add more Dwemer Armors and Weapons.

Ive said to many times before.. there is no solid evidence that the "dwarven" race isn't dwarven .

There's no evidence they didn't turn into big fluffy stuffed animals and transport into the realm of cotton candy, but we don't know that either.

Like everyone else, I really don't care what you do, but stop trying to justify it because you're just conflicting with every known bit of lore out there.

Saying lore isn't lore because Todd Howard said it's not reliable isn't helping your case either.

You would have been fine with this whole mod if you hadn't called it lore friendly and then tried to change everything we know about them.

Wow.. nerd rage much?.. cool down.. Its my opinion and I made it clear from the start it was. This is your opinion but you know what? its not your mod and this is semi lore friendly like it or not there is nothing about this thats totally off the wall in lore given the history of TES. Your taking my view to a huge extreme when I have plenty of points to show there could be misinformation in TES and bethesda could be going a different way with them.

But at the end of the day everyone here is blasting my mod for small reasons in the big picture. Your the types that drive developers crazy when bethesda releases a new game and has hords of no life fanboys flip out about the smallest changes they make. I'm calling this a lore friendly mod weather you like it not because you didn't make it. Your not the one putting together the meshes/texture/idea .. making custom normal maps and spec maps .. your just a fanboy with his opinion. This is mine .. Respect it.

btw this only applies to the prick I'm responding to .. the rest of you have been very respectful with your differing opinions ^-^ thank you

You just earned a strike for that last remark. - TVD.

FWIW, I would rather there actually WERE dwarves in Skyrim, actual, short dwarves.

AND the only comment I made (about height relative to levers etc in dwemer ruins) was really more of a "have you considered this?" than a criticism or differing opinion.

AND I 100% support your right to do whatever you want with your mod.

AND I'm not a TES fanboy, Skyrim is my only TES game, and I got it more to mod it than to play it. Nor am I a lore-monger.

AND I agree with your point about "things may change" in the realm of lore.

BUT I don't believe you can realistically call this mod "lore friendly".

You certainly can't call it "lore friendly" and expect no backlash for doing so.

Can't waite to play as a realy dwarf in skyrim there so much awsome dwemer weapon/armor/house mods out there it woud be nice to youse them to play as a dwarf and I mean a realy dwarf (short masculine wiht a awsome beard) and not only some hige elf copy : /. Can't waite for relase! And I realy like thet you made them short.

2 cents:

All the sketchy lore references to Dwemer are just that - sketchy references. It's clear that the TES series has been intentionally ambivalent about who or what the Dwemer were.

I say if you think they should be short, make 'em short. It would add some interesting variety to the game, and I'm sure it has been interesting for you to make the sorter skeleton, etc.

I would definitely play your short-Dwemer mod. It would be fun to add some lore aspects of it to the game, and I'd be willing to help out with that, although my modding mojo is not strong.

Personally, I don't see how the Dwemer could still exist in Tamriel, UNLESS -

Yagrum Bagarn was in an "outer realm" at the time of their disappearance. Maybe a "return of the Dwemer" could be justified using a story similar to what happened to Alduin? Perhaps:

Alduin was sent forward in time using the power of an Elder Scroll. This means that he didn't actually "return", as he was never technically "banished". He simply performed a Madeline L'Engle-style tesseract, by skipping straight through from one point in time to another.

Maybe this could be the justification for the sudden reappearance in the Dwemer?

Or, perhaps there was an entire tribe that was in an "outer realm", and when they returned, POOF, everyone was gone, and they've been trying to investigate it in a secluded ruin...that you, the poor wanderer, happens to stumble across. Whether they're hostile or not depends on the modder's preference.
