ObliviousParticle
So I took a horse carriage to falkreath and suddenly the game runs horribly. I tried with no mods and it still does it, so that isn't the issue... anyone got any ideas? Note: If a moderator(or can only admins do that, are they the same?) sees this can they please delete that topic I made called "fog cloud thing in falkreath" or whatever? I kinda found out that cloud thing had nothing to do with it and apparently the title of that topic has caused it to have 0 views... Georgiegril
I think the problem is that there isn't much information to go on.what does horribly mean? Lags? Sputters? Crashes? Visual or sound glitches? Also are you using any mods, and if so which?Have you played before without problems? what has changed?Have you done anything to try to fix the situation yourself, what did you do and what were the results? What are your computer specs and game settings, and have you done anything with them? For basic troubleshooting help, Bben's blog is awesome.

I have tried changing settings both in game and with my GPU, and I tried it without mods and it has shown no different results at all. It seems to happen when I face towards falkreath, if I look towards the woods, the ground, or the sky it completely stops lagging. If I look at the bulk of the city itself it happens.... ObliviousParticle
Started a new game... and there is a thunderstorm like the other save. The cloud/fog ball thing was back again, and this time it was most definitely the cloud/ball thing causing the problem. I should probably explain: I made a topic before this one mentioning how the performance problem was caused by a cloud thing, but I thought I found out it wasn't the cloud thing so the topic became troublesome when the title was probably dissuading people from entering. Now I found out it is in fact the weird ball of fog thing I am talking about, it creeps me out cause it follows me and tries to keep entering my field of view >.> Edit: It also is the thunderstorm weather... anyone know why there is a persistent ghostly fog ball that tries to annoyingly stay in my field of view during a thunderstorm? Possibly a way to remedy it? Edited August 18, 2012 by ObliviousParticle
FreddyHollensen
I know this is an ancient post, but... I have the exact same problem, I didn't through several other playthroughs, but I remember it from the first time when Skyrim was just out, and it started to behave this way again.Did you ever find a solution to this/have more information on what causes it.I'm a modder and I might be able to fix it, my OCD is itching.
