gojiraman590
So, I was downloading a couple mods manually (because that's the only option for these specific mods) when the last one didn't download correctly. In my download folder it said it was a 7zip, when it was just a single file that wouldn't open for any program. I tried switching browsers but that didn't work and now I'm stumped. Some mods download correctly but others don't, so I'm mighty confused. Any help would be appreciated.
Pickysaurus
Could you provide a link to the mod? This is usually your anti-virus renaming file downloads under the guise of "security". If this is the case, renaming it back to what it should be will work.

Pickysaurus
I can confirm that mod downloads fine. I suspect it's being flagged by your AV due to containing an installer and other potentially harmful files. (Our Virus Total scans shows it's free from anything malicious). Have you tried renaming the downloaded file to a 7z archive?

AugustaCalidia
So, how do i rename the download to a 7zip archive? By renaming it "{MOD NAME}.7z".
gojiraman590
So in the case of New California, that would be "Fallout New California BETA 213 INSTALLER.7z"? Because that didn't work. Sorry if I'm doing it wrong, I'm new to this. I also tried just "Fallout New California.7z" Edited May 7, 2019 by gojiraman590

gojiraman590
So, I tried installing YUP and NVSE and those aren't working either. So it's not just this site sadly. No one has had this problem before?

Sorry if I'm doing it wrong, I'm new to this. I also tried just "Fallout New California.7z" Do you have the 7Zip program installed? If not, google it, download it, and install it. Then you can extract the contents of Fallout New California to you desktop per the instructions on the Nexusmods page for New California.
