0094(01)094: Of JADEKIN OF THE MAGEBORN: MORE EXPOSED TRUTHS

KarlHaga frowned hard. “Not all of my people would wish to be tested so.”

Jadekin nodded. “What dark bargain did you get yourself into, KarlHaga? Who, or what, was the bargain made with?”

KarlHaga visibly crumpled a little. “He called himself SadsaVane, of the Eternal Guardian, but there was something 'wrong' about him, something causing doubt about his claims. Then he revealed himself to be of the Twisted Eternal Guardian who had fallen under the evil influences of the TwistedGod. He told us that the TwistedGod had sabotaged the Dwemer dwen attempt to create our Thirteen Alternate Tamriels for our own use. He did not reveal if those thirteen had been created but one result of that 'sabotage' was the creation of what he called Hiza Tamriel. The TwistedGod wanted the creation of many HizaSoulbooks that he-it-she intended to feed on in future in order to make itself stronger. The TwistedGod never did show up. SadsaVane accidentally revealed that he did not know why this was and that he was trapped in Hiza Tamriel waiting for the TwistedGod, in one form or another, to free him.”

Jadekin frowned. “What did he want from you?”

“Information, only information. I reported to him about once a month and told him what I knew of what was happening in the HizaLibraryComplex. In return he provided some useful resources, including some knowledge of aspects of the Hiza that I never knew about previously, some of which greatly surprised me.” KarlHaga shook his head in wonder. “That was how we found out about the TeleportGates that could be activated to link with each other and with other TeleportGates in this realm. Oh, yes, we found out that some powerful entities have become trapped here; one is the TwistedDemigod TwizaOohaZiaz who actually created the first of the HizaSoulDevices and went on to create many more of them. Oh, yes, Twisted Eternal Guardian SadsaVane is trapped but so is the Eternal Champion who has been trapped here for many many years.”

Shakira slid out her longsword and tried to cut of KarlHaga's head. Jadekin met the blade with her own, causing a clash of energies and hard metal. They moved back and forth, swords whirling, thrusting and blocking. They moved with so much speed that to others they were, at best, flickers of motion, sparkles of energy and the sounds of metal meeting metal.

Shakira fell back and frowned hard at Jadekin. “It is not only the Divine Talos that will be betrayed in future, by the Empire, but the Eternal Champion. You do not seem surprised by my attempt to kill this fool who would dare to form an agreement with a Twisted Eternal.”

Jadekin sighed. “We three, who are one, 'sensed' early on that you, Shakira, and the fake Alisari, were one and the same entity. Yes, you Shakira are what you say you are but you were also pretending to be Alisari. We suspect you realized it was too dangerous to go on pretending to be Alisari and so the story was that Alisari went off on some important mission while you, Shakira, came to assist us. Why? You have been desperately looking for something and hoped that we would help you find that something. That something is the Prime Eternal Champion, the real Alisari or some other shapeform, identity, that has been undertaken. Yet you are not truly evil and you did assist very much. Put your weapon down. KarlHaga only did what he did so as to try to save his people and all he gave was general knowledge, or so he hope is the sake for his sake.”

KarlHaga scowled. “I did what I had to do for the good of my people.”

Jadekin sighed. “Oh well, so much for that!” Then she cut off KarlHaga's head.

0095(01)095: Of JADEKIN OF THE MAGEBORN: WHY AND LOOK HERE

Shakira frowned. “You stop me from cutting off his head and then you behead him? That is not fair!”

Jadekin sighed. “Sorry, I was trying to get him to lie heavily to my face, thus opening up the depths of his, rather murky mind, to me. Why did you try to cut his head off?”

Shakira suddenly looked confused. “I do not know why! It suddenly came to me as a powerful impulse to do so. The real Alisari is trapped here, somewhere, if KarlHaga was telling the truth. Why did you kill him?”

“That is not the real KarlHaga.” She indicated the body that was starting to burn away as if by spontaneous combustion. In moments it was gone, leaving behind a whole lot of gear. Some black ash was left behind along with what looked like a shrunken, burned monkey like creature that was made of crystal-flesh of some kind. “Never was but you 'sensed' that also. No more games! We work together from now on fully.”

Shakira frowned. “I meant to betray you but I found I could not do so. Such treachery is not the way of the Eternal Champion, even a Secondary Avatar like myself. It is good to tell you the truth except I really do not know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. All I know is that the real Alisari is in deep trouble and that I need to save her, to save us, to save the Eternal Champion.”

Jadekin smiled. “Well, I do have some good news. That fake KarlHaga revealed to me where the real KarlHaga is. The fake KarlHaga was something called a HizaSoulshan. The transformed RozaLibraryEntities helped expose their true nature. They take a shapeform and stay as that shapeform but it is not always a fake copy of some entity. Now for some excitement.”

Other people there were turning out to be HizaSoulshans, were racing at the pair with weapons of many kinds. Not all though. Those that had seemed asleep before, were actually imprisoned in a kind of unnatural semiconscious state as their life energies were slowly, painfully, drained from them.

Jadekin, and Shakira, raced into action. The RozaLibrarian, and RozaLibraryClerks, began to fight the creatures also. The HizaSoulshans had mostly quasimagical weapons or even just basic ones but one carried a nasty, bizarre, looking HizaSoulgun. It fired a pulsebeam at Shakira who was thrown backwards some metres, her quasimagical shield saving her but shattering in the process. Jadekin hurled a fireball and the HizaSoulgun exploded violently, killing the user and many other HizaSoulshans around it, burning them away in the process. The few remaining HizaSoulshans quickly fell to Shakira and Jadekin.

“Not impressed with that HizaSoulgun; like walking around with an unstable powerful bomb” Shakira walked amongst the semiconscious people and began to tend to them even as Jadekin did the same. “Do you think the real KarlHaga lives?”

“When I glimpsed, deep, into that creature's mind I saw that it was linked with the real KarlHaga both as a food supply and to help keep itself more real seeming. That is why these HizaSoulshans are harder to detect as fakes, are so very dangerous.” Jadekin gently got a young woman to drink some healing serum. “Did you notice that when I materialized those goods, that none of the HizaSoulshans ate the food rations though they did feed food to some of their victims?”

Shakira snorted with annoyance. “I assumed that they were being noble, that they were saving the weakened, the sick, first. Still, I did 'sense' something odd about the HizaSoulshans. I found the real KarlHaga! He is right here and is smiling at me.”

0096(01)096: Of JADEKIN OF THE MAGEBORN: REAL REVELATIONS AND TRUTHS REVEALED

The real KarlHaga knew a lot more than did the fake one. He showed the newcomers a hidden TeleportGate that was nowhere near any of the places that the HizaSoulshan had said any would be found. This Emergency TeleportGate was active but could only create TeleportGateways to some other, more local TeleportGateways.

What was important was that one of the TeleportGateways led to a TeleportGate outside of the very Dwemer designed and built chamber, transported to a new location, with some Ayleid devices in it. Yes, it was the very same chamber that one aspect of Jadekin had found much earlier on. Changes had taken place to the the big central Dwemer machine was there with the Prime WhirlaKey as its focus. Now, though, there were two Secondary WhirlaKeys placed around it and around them, six Baseline WhirlaKeys. They were of the same Thirteen WhirlaKeys that Jadekin had first been sent to find. There were vacant places for one Secondary and three Baseline WhirlaKeys that Jadekin had found, had passed on to the FateLords.

Eternal Champion Alisari was entrapped in a strange crystal-flesh capsule but something about her stated that she was fighting back. Cables led from the capsule to the big machine at the center of the great big chamber. It was an insane concept, a dangerous one and it was evil; it was just the kind of thing that the TwistedGod would come up with.

There was a shimmering and a tall golden armored figure appeared. It was the same Mer that had appeared in the chamber when it had been in a version of the Imperial Undercity. It could have been Dwemer or Ayleid by its appearance but now Jadekin knew, somehow, it was a FateSublord, a follower of the FateLords. The figure held a great trident in one hand except that the trident ended in softly glowing crystal orbs.

The figure turned and smiled at Jadekin, in a quite odd fashion, then spoke. “You are correct, I am a FateSublord. You have done well. What you did by getting to those WhirlaKeys, before others could, and giving them over to the FateLords, you have stopped a very fallen, foolish and dangerous project being carried out. This far from settles everything, far from solves all the problems that have arisen thanks to the fallen nature of some and treachery of others. Yet it helps matters greatly. You will be well rewarded, as will others, but there will come a time when Jadekin will have to go on another Quest. All your current FategameQuests are ended but some may be restarted. Not all loose ends will be tied, not all questions will be answered, not all problems will find a solution. Yet much will change for the better.”

In other words, Jadekin would be largely left in the dark but that was normal enough.

The FateSublord held up his exotic trident and aimed it at the great central machine. Beams of powerful energies spat out and then the whole chamber was full of strange glittering energies, sparkling rainbows, glowing mists. It only lasted seconds but seemed to last much longer than that as a strange shivering feeling went through everything and everyone.

Then the chamber seemed much the same but it was moved, was transported so it was now part of the Imperial Commonwealth City of Jadekinaria. The Eternal Champion, both Alisari and Shakira, were gone as was the bizarre crystal-flesh capsule and all of the WhirlaKeys. The rest seemed to be much the same except that the FateSublord was also gone. The Dwemer machines were all there, as were the fewer Ayleid devices. For some reason they had been given access to the chamber but there was no real clue to why this had been done.

Jadekin was alone and so she turned and walked out of the chamber, out into the city beyond.

0097(01)097: Of JADEKIN OF THE MAGEBORN: On Going Events

Jadekin had only been away for just over a day, by local time. She met her family, Empress Jadekia, and others in a big semi-enclosed garden of the city. They had a picnic with Petra and Peter squabbling at first over something pointless. Sanchy was taking care of Nibby, the damphir feeding the neobaby with proper traditional sound effects and motions.

Baurus was away with some Blades, on some kind of training exercise. The various projects were still taking place, of course, through out Jadekinaria.

Jadelegs was in 'JadelegsLand' with the goblinfolk and others, was busy investigating various finds that had been made.

There had been some amazing changes in Jadekinaria, just a short time before Jadekin had returned, along with the amazing chamber. TeleportGate Towers had popped up across Jadekinaria, a network of paved highways had appeared complete with bridges and tunnels, so had a network of electric railways, along with a network of water canals and a network of underground tunnels. New Waygate Towers also appeared and refugees were now coming in from the Hiza Realm and from the three Alternate Tamriels. All three were now plagued with savage wars, famine, plague and other troubles. People brought what they could with them, were always tested, were rejuvenated if they passed and allowed to come through. Many failed and vanished or were turned back but most came through even if they ended up in expanding quarantine zones. Jadekinaria continued to expand.

“We are still getting our Fategame Resources and we need to spend them all on solving the many problems arising in dealing with all of the refugees coming from four realms.” Empress Jadekia shook her head in wonder. “Despite everything that has happened, there are still many puzzles to solve, many questions to answer.”

“Perhaps those amazing finds, that Jadelegs is investigating, might assist us.” They were looking at the children playing, at adults playing cards. “We are going to have to send aid, of various kinds, to those other four realms. We may even end up sending military forces. The Hiza must be destroyed and I suspect that there is still a TwistedDemigod trapped in that TransDomain along with a Twisted Eternal Guardian Avatar.”

There were many challenges and yet both of them, they being actually semiautonomous of one entity, were feeling peaceful. They would rest, they would build up resources as much as possible, they would learn what they could of their real pasts.

Jadekin spoke again. “Arcane powers are gone! I suppose a decision was made. I needed to focus more on fewer paths of power, of skill, of ability. Will we become the giants that we once were or will we become something new? We are slowly, steadily, changing.”

Empress Jadekia shrugged. “My focus has never been on the arcane but more towards the divine. That is it was as Empress JadekinKia. I was two people, we were four aspects of the one but are now three aspects of the one. Very strange!”

Jadekin spoke. “We never did get to the Majestico Emporium or the WhirlaKey that is supposed to be there. Then again there are many things we never did manage to do. If there is a WhirlaKey there, it must belong to another Set of WhirlaKeys, unless the explanation is more fantastic than that.”

Empress Jadekia sighed. “What about our people, or should I say peoples? They vanished, to be replaced by shapeshifters, in one Alternate Tamriel. We have much to discover.”

0098(01)098: Of JADEKIN OF THE MAGEBORN: MORE CHANGES; NEW CONCERNS

Time passed!

Word came that all three Alternate Tamriels were starting to vanish at the 'edges', to prove themselves to be but very limited domains and not whole worlds. As the three realms very slowly shrank, Jadekinaria less slowly expanded. Wildlife, geography, geology, wildfolk and more were being taken from the three realms and being transferred to Jadekinaria.

The Grand Chapel of the Nine Divines, as it came to be known, steadily rose into existence with nine great semi-enclosed domes each with its own great statue, devotional area and gardens. There were meditational areas, reading libraries, special areas devoted to the particular ways of each Divine, guest facilities and a collage was being planned.

Factions were rising into existence and, as to be expected, not all were for the good though the very bad had not come to Jadekinaria. The Imperial Commonwealth Guilds first emerged. The Imperial Commonwealth Government began forming ministries, departments, councils and other bodies. An Imperial Commonwealth Defense Service, Police Service and Emergency Service were formed. There was, of course, political in fighting and some cunning manipulations but Empress Jadekia was an excellent leader who knew well how to choose the right people to delegate important tasks to.

The Terran shaperfolk were still pushing for constitutional reforms but many did not welcome such ideas, especially more conservative factions. Empress Jadekia openly advocated a constitutional monarchy complete with a three tier parliament and voting for all adult citizens. Citizenship was also to be easily, freely available. Again the conservative factions were not happy about this. Neither were some radical factions, who wished for the rise of a republic, but they were a fairly weak, small minority.

When Talos, the Human Divine, began sending life to Jadekinaria so as to save it, he also sent special resources. These were divine magical devices, divine quasimagical artifacts, books of knowledge and exotic supplies of many kinds be they powerful alchemistry ingredients, tools or even exotic entities to assist in various way. Many Followers of Talos came to Jadekinaria and amongst them were priests, priestesses and others of special status. It quickly became clear that Talos was setting up a strong base of faith in the TransDomain, a colony of his own people. While most others had no negative feelings toward this, there were some believers of the 'Divine Eight' who saw Talos as a false god, many of these being from the Alternate Tamriel of the Sabtur Dynasty based Empire.

Most Terran shapeshifters had the own faith, not of Tamriel or even Nirn, based on one God the Goddess, three Holy Demigods (one being a Demigoddess) and a host of angelic beings supporting God and Heaven. There were archangels, angels and cherubs. There were also the Three Messiahs, the Prophets and others including the Devil and his demonic servants. The Devil served God the Goddess by punishing those who had sinned terribly while those of lesser sins were dealt with by one of the Holy Demigods who ran Purgatory.

Empress Jadekia was faced with a dilemma but tried to solve it by moving that the Imperial Commonwealth would be secular in nature and try to protect nearly all forms of religious faith or having none at all. Most seemed to accept this move but a few minorities were angered by it. This was especially true of those who believed strongly that the Imperial Commonwealth should be linked strongly to the Divines, be that 'Eight Divines' or 'Nine Divines' or even 'Thirteen Divines'. Jadekia carefully selected a body of Assistants, Advisers, Ministers and others including bodyguards. It turned out that the Blades chose to protect her in this manner and she accepted their offer but she also had other bodyguards.

0099(01)099: Of JADEKIN OF THE MAGEBORN: FUNDAMENTAL CHANGES

Jadekia, Jadekin and Jadelegs met together in the hub-chamber, the one normally hidden by exotic transdimensional means, and faced the naked woman floating inside the transparent cylinder. They wore quasimagical power armor and carried quasimagical weapons yet felt no threat from the one inside the cylinder for she was 'them'.

The 'Voice' spoke to all three of them.

=-=She is the original of us. Her name was first Jade but later became Jadekessna, a Living Goddess of the Mortal Divines. She arose as the Third Empress of the Skylands and was reborn to become many, but not all, Empresses after that. Two other Living Goddesses, Mortal Divines, also took turns being Empress, being reborn into the role. If I only give you basic knowledge is that even such as the FateLords, and the Nine Divines, do not seem to know much about your people.

Jadelegs=So how did we end up being as three versions of 'us' in three Alternate Tamriels?

=-=In three Alternate Tamriels that should never have come to exist! Jadekessna is trapped inside some kind of amazingly advanced, powerful and sophisticated prison that is far more than it seems. A theory is that she reached out, the only way she could, to create a series of avatars who would try to free her and carry out other tasks.

Jadekia=Then we should free her!

=-=Just what do you know of Jadekessna, the Fifteenth Dethroned Empress of the Skylands? Why do you assume that you 'should free her'? Perhaps she was imprisoned for very good reasons.

The three looked from the floating figure to each other. In truth they knew next to nothing about this one called Jadekessna, who once had been named Jade. They did not know how to free her or if they should free her. They did not know the full meaning of 'her being them and they being her' or even how the three of them were actually the same one, including the one who had once been Empress JadekinKia.

There was a strange shimmering, shivering sensation and they 'sensed' that something profound had changed.

=-=The Hiza TransDomain has now been firmly anchored into a new TransWorld that also includes Jadekinaria and JadelegsLand along with the new Jadekiana Underworld that is deep inside Jadekinaria. In Jadekiana is a large population of Dragonborn mageborn being your people, or peoples, depending on how you wish to look upon it. I suggest you be careful in your approach to the. It appears that their feelings for you are on the 'complicated' side.

Jadekin=In what way?

=-=One of the main faiths, cultures, burns effigies once a year that represent the evil treacherous Jadekin who became willingly possessed of the Devil Zatanfer in order to gain great power, knowledge and hate fueled revenge on her enemies.

Jadekin was thoughtful for a moment before responding. “Well it flows smoothly in with what else I have learned about my past. Jadekia or Jadelegs can go visit them first!”

Jadelegs laughed softly and Jadekia gave Jadekin a mildly sour look.

0100(01)100: Of JADEKIN OF THE MAGEBORN: FINAL

Emperor Uriel Septum VII appeared, along with two of his three sons and a very large number of others, and he asked for protection by the Imperial Commonwealth. For the real Emperor Uriel Septum had refused to go along with the plans of Talos that would have made him a puppet leader of a new Empire. Talos had become very angry but would not strike at an Emperor, especially one that was Dragonborn, that had the Dragonblood as gifted by Akatosh himself. So Emperor Uriel Septum, his sons, and many others were forced into exile in Jadekinaria. Empress Jadekia granted protection but, realizing the dark ramifications of what was happening, officially isolated all of the newcomers to an separated outer region. There began the construction of new settlements for the newcomers along with the restoration of two large, long abandoned, cities of still sturdy existence.

There were those who at once demanded that Empress Jadekia at once give over rule of Jadekinaria to Emperor Uriel Septum VII but neither Empress or Emperor would support the idea. Emperor Uriel Septum would not betray his honor, the honor of a Dragonborn Emperor, or an oath taken with Empress Jadekia.

Jadelegs returned to JadelegsLand where she focused on learning more about the past, the many puzzles that they were confronted with.

Jadekin acted as a trouble-shooter for Jadekia.

Empress Jadekia Dragonkia continued to rule Jadekinaria as a constitutional monarch, with the able assistance of Emperor Urick Dragonkia. She often consulted with Emperor Uriel Septum VII because he was a very wise ruler and far more politically canny than most would guess. He also had the Third Eye. Urick and Uriel got on very well.

The Blades began to return to serving a rejuvenated Emperor Uriel Septum VII, and his Empire in Exile, except for a few who ceased to be Blades to serve the Imperial Commonwealth as personal bodyguards to Jadekia and Urick.

Pockets of demonars were found and special forces units began seek and destroy missions against them. Operations were also begun to find any demoninoes in the form of willingly possessed people. Yet finds were few and easily dealt with. Rift gates had vanished.

Matters were generally peaceful despite some troubles, some squabbles between peoples, some faction fights, the rise of a few organized crime groups and some more fanatical groups. A large scale economy arose, the wildfolk had their own areas where rural or urban development was banned, the Dwemer gravitated to their own homeland enclaves as did other Mer and yet many peoples also mixed. Settlements kept arising, and growing, be they the smallest thorps or the largest cities.

Yet there were still the troubles of the four other realms, the three slowly shrinking Alternate Tamriels and the Hiza Realm. There were still many mysteries to solve.

Jadekinaria continued to expand.
