I hope this reaches the potential target audience here.. So. For various reasons I had to move my /Bethesda/Morrowind -folder to different location. After that the game won't load my saved games. I have tried moving my Morrowind-folder and the saved games folder back and forth, and even placed the saved games folder in Morro's data-folder, while it(the Morrowind folder) has been in different places(programm files, desktop..). I have tried about everything I've found with Google, but nothing seems to help. I can locate the save-files. And yes, they don't show up in the "data files" section. What to do, where to put them? I'd really much prefer to keep going from my old save. rather than starting a new game.

Thanks for your possible help!

Put it back where it was and then try renaming the morrowind.ini in the games root folder, it should create a new one. If that doesn't solve the problem you can delete the new one and rename the old one back. You will have to redo your settings.

Hallo

Ich habe ein großes Problem bei Morrowind, denn ich kann

nicht Speichern. Jedesmal wenn ich Speichern will, sagt er

"Unable to complete operation due failure removing previous file. temp file remains". Ich habe keine Ahnung woran das liegt, ich

das Spiel auch schon neu installiert, hat nicht geholfen. Ich habe

es auch schon mit dem "Morrowind Code Patch" versucht, aber

auch ohne erfolg. Wenn jemand was weiß, schreibt bitte was.

over 10 years have gone by and no one has found the answer? allow me to necro this thread and provide one: when i copied my game files as a backup and then deleted all the files in the directory somewhere along the way the "Saves" folder got renamed to "_Saves". simply renaming the folder to "Saves" (without the quotation marks) fixed the problem. hope this helps someone in the future so they don't have to wait a decade for a response.
