h455566hh
Sooo we'r in a world where people fight with gigantic swords and monsters with fangs bigger than those sowrds are all over the place liek butter on bread. Why decapitations which were the most beautiful thing in both Fallout games by bethesda are not in Skyrim? Is it plausible to bring them back ina from of mod or any other way? denar9072
Erm, I can't be understanding you right. Are you saying that there are NO decapitations in Skyrim? Have you looked at the perk trees for one/two handed weapons yet?
Mercbird
Devastating blow for two handed and Savage strike for one handed are the perks in the skill tree you need for "Standing power attacks do 25% bonus damage with a chance to decapitate your enemies." rizon72
Its in there as a perk, I've even decapitated a ghost. Still not sure how you can do that, oh well. :whistling:
h455566hh
I mean Fallout 3/ New Vegas style decapitations. Let's say a fireball spell would explode an enemy into 6 pieces.
Lachdonin
Part of the issue with the exploding heads (which are not, technicly, decapitations) is that Skyrim lacks the area specific damage tables that VATS afforded Fallout. Thus, the ease of dividing the body into parts, then obliterating said parts is more difficult, not to mention the disconnect since you can`t specificly target the head. Having a fireball cause someones head to explode would look stupid if you knicked the guys hand. Certian weapons, such as Hammers, i could see the potential for, but since the weapon trees are so amalgamated in the vanilla game thats rendered impossible. In short, i think it`s largely becase of the lack of a VATS like system. Not to mention the fact that... really... Severed heads is more realistic for a fantasy setting than flamboyant, exploding body parts.
Wraithofdoom
i could do with severed hands and feet like in fallout.
SergeantGrrock
I've lopped off many a head in Skyrim. I've just always found it strange that the heads seem to disappear. The body is always there but no head. Am I wrong?
Georgiegril
Well, in my game, the heads roll around on the ground, like leaves on the wind.
Perraine
It won't happen because Bugthesda "dummed down" the mesh files for bodies, so there are no longer any "parts" to separate ... Another "great improvement in game engine design" by Bugthesda <end sarcasm>
