custom resolution for FOSE

It appears that when fose is loaded, the game runs at the same resolution as my screen. I want to run the game at a lower resolution but can't find out how, the settings in the INI doesn't work. Is there anyway to achieve this?

thx in advance

Not sure but I think you need to make that change with the launcher.exe ... not just make changes to your .ini or you are changing it in the wrong .ini ?

Re-make the .ini files if need be.

So try the FalloutLauncher.exe and see if it sticks in the .ini from there.

Otherwise I would guess fake full screen in windowed mode may get you what you want ?

In FalloutPrefs.ini I have (as set by the game when I first started it):

bFull Screen=1

iSize W=1280
iSize H=720

My windows res is 1600x900.

If I start the game and then alt-tab out, my res is 1600x900. However this is true if I start with FOSE or without it.

So, I can't tell what res it is when in the game, assuming it is possible for it to be a different res that is changed when I tab out.

No, your looking in the wrong place and wrong things, Fallout 3 was designed to run on a set setting made for Xbox ,then they ported the game to PC...way back 10 years ago, then, we did NOT have what we have now in PC hardware. IF your OS is windows 10? or 8 ? reduce the scalling only, the game does not use desktop rez anyway.
