EpicBlu
Can someone please upload the steam_appi.dll from their steam folder for me? I was trying to get the Creation Kit to work and I think I must have corrupted the dll, so now I can't run skyrim.
Valkyrie
Read the entire thread before doing a fix: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/509375-accidentally-deleted-my-steam-apidll/
EpicBlu
I did read that thread, actually, but the megaupload link is broken.
Valkyrie
Right click the game in the library, hit properties and select verify game cache. It should re-DL the file missing.
EpicBlu
I don't have the option to do so. The 'verify game cache' option is just gone for some reason. It may have to do with the fact that I got the game's CD Key off of a website which required me to use a VPN to activate and download it, which is also the reason I can't reinstall(it took me ages to install it the first time.) Staind716
So when you say you got the cd key elsewhere does that mean what you are trying to use is not a legitimate copy?
kevkiev
I'm not sure I understand your game key thing, but maybe try this? if you don't have it handy. As the page mentions, if that doesn't work try contacting Steam support. I don't know how you could have the game installed into your steam account without having the ability to reinstall or verify game cache.
Thandal
The previous posts by other members give all the help needed for a legitimate version of the game, so closing this thread.
