TheTerminator2004
Even paint can save files as .jpg - in the save dialog, just open the drop-down list at the bottom, and choose JPEG. Then save as normal :P

LHammonds
all you have to do is change the end bit to .jpgie something is picture.bmprename it topicture.jpg its what i do anywhoCompletely the WRONG thing to do. The OP is asking how to change the "type" of a file, not just the name extension. If you have a BMP file which is an uncompressed windows bitmap image, renaming it to EXE (for example) does not change the "type" of file to a program, it just makes the name different (and incorrectly representing the type of file). Any image editor worth its salt can save to JPG / JPEG format. Windows comes with MS Paint and can open several types of images and can resave / convert to another "type" of image such as JPG. Please read this tutorial which talks about converting BMP images to JPG for upload to TESNexus. You can download and install other image editors with more functionality than MS Paint such as Paint.NET or GIMP that also allow you to save and open DDS files which are the "types" of image files used by Oblivion. Storm Raven
IrfanView is also a very versatile image viewer that can save files from one format into another. It also allows you to change things like the brightness, size and contrast of the image before you save it. It will warn you, if the file, you are loading has the wrong extension and give you the opportunity to change it. Just changing the extension of the file as LHammonds said, is a bad idea. http://www.irfanview.net/
floggingmolly22
Thanks LHammonds and Stormraven. Seems like LHammonds has the right way to do this. Thanks.
