hoofhearted4
I've had to move back to a European server, I didn't have any lag but the time difference meant I was playing in a ghost town a lot of the time, the Sea of Sorrows is especially bad because of the large number of players from Australia/NZ. THATS why no one is ever on when i go on late at night, i forgot thats an Aus/NZ Server! knowing that, im going to have to switch now too. thatll make a world of difference!! ginnyfizz
Yeah I am playing in a ghost town too a lot of the time in the evnings, but then at the moment I can log on during the daytime.
hoofhearted4
the only thing that make it hard, is all the servers say America (since i have America selected) so i would have no idea if one id Aussie and one is US or etc. i switched to Anvil Rock, idk if itll make a difference. luckily Transfers are free (1 per day) so i can keep trying till i find a good one. JimboUK
THATS why no one is ever on when i go on late at night, i forgot thats an Aus/NZ Server! knowing that, im going to have to switch now too. thatll make a world of difference!! It's completely screwing the WvW up, the Sea of Sorrows gets badly beaten until the Americans go to bed, then the Australians turn up and win everything in sight. I wondered why the Sea of Sorrows always had good scores when my experience of WvW for the Sea of Sorrows was of us getting battered night after night. It was also a problem with PvE, group events would start and there'd only be two of us there. I've moved to the Desolation European server after reading that's where a lot of English speakers are and things have improved no end, WvW is back to how it was before I switched to the U.S.
K00L
First is the hidden one (don't laugh at my low quality! Some days my PC runs it on the highest I can with no lag, some days even low isn't low enough). Looking around I've noticed them in places as static objects like the Salma District in Divinity's Reach.http://imageshack.us/a/img560/8183/gw054d.jpghttp://imageshack.us/a/img39/2995/gw055j.jpg
JimboUK
I've not noticed them before, the one by the trader could be dismissed as decoration but the other one looks hidden. The only out of place chest I've seen is this one embedded in a wall with grass growing out of it... http://i.imgur.com/dVxK0.jpg
ginnyfizz
Uh oh, just felt like playing but...another large update appears to be downloading. Aww stuff this. I don't think I have ever seen more misleading quest markers or a more rubbish wiki in any game. Had been having fun but I am totally stuck now. I am in Divinity's Reach and trying to find how to get to Josir and the Speaker Of The Dead. The quest marker seems to be sitting on an Asura gate which I have no idea wtf it is. If anyone does, could they enlighten me please?I do not mind spoilers, at all.
JimboUK
You should go through the gate and end up roughly where you're supposed to be, I've been neglecting the story and haven't progressed far enough to need a gate yet.
hoofhearted4
haha yea, just go through the gate, its not misleading you, its telling you exactly where to go :P
ginnyfizz
I do think that this game is not very user friendly to people not really used to MMO's. We are all noobs at some point but the Wiki simply doesn't seem to acknowledge that and assumes you know stuff. Everything is geared to real veterans from what I can see and there isn't much in the way of reference for noobs. Still at least I haven't seen rude remarks appearing in the chat window like I did the one and only time I tried Lineage II, when it went FTP. The spawn point was very crowded and people were typing in the chat window "Oooh look at all the stoopid noobs" at which point I typed "Look at all the pompous *****" and logged off.
