djwhitfield
Hello, For the past 2 days I have worked endless to try and get Fallout 3 to run perfectly without crashing. I have tried many options.I have tried fixing my multi-core processor. I have lowered my graphics to medium, it runs at a high FPS at all times.I have sorted out my load order hundreds of times. I have reinstalled the game and reinstalled the mods. I have followed Gophers videos step by step 100% and then added a few other mods, the mods I have added are the same as his play though series + a few extra weapons, perks and locations. The game NEVER crashes when I am just running around aimlessly minding my own business or exploring Megaton or the rest of the wasteland. But the crashes are very likely to occur during combat.I have loaded the spawn rates of Marts Mutant Mod and that seemed to have helped slightly, but its still happening. I lowered the spawns to vanilla and it still happens. Remained in the same area and keep testing just to see if the crashes stop.I been using Spring vale Elementary School and The Marketplace that you have to go to for food and medicine as my testing grounds. The crashes occur then I get into combat with the raiders. I apologies but am not sure how to export my load order with Nexus Mod Manager. If someone tells me how I will get it up here ASAP. djwhitfield
I had to printscreen the load order and copy and paste it together in paint. Terrible job I know. But if anyone knows how to export the loadorder with NMM let me know and I will make a better one. Thank you
M48A5
First, get BOSS to sort your load order: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/10193. Second, read the ReadMe and installation instructions for you mods. Fallout Remastered is to be loaded last in the load order with the Remastered compatibility patches following. I would also suggest that you get FOMM to handle your mods for Fallout 3 and learn how to install mods manually. I see you have FO3Edit, do you also have the training manual? Did you look at the conflicts in the merged patch and resolve them? Do you have a dedicated Graphics Card or are you using an integrated graphics chip? I already sorted my mods with BOSS before, but it ended up crashing even faster after I did that, so I sorted the mods manually myself.I had no idea about the Fallout Remastered, thank you. But if I have anything below Project Reality then it crashes. So I know Project Reality has to come very last.I install a lot of the mods manually and install them to NMM. I use to use FOMM before the release of Skyrim and NMM but I really do feel a lot more comfortable with NMM.I use FO3Edit to create the merge patch and do a Master Update, I don't know how to use it other than that. I am not sure how to look for conflicts in the merge patch nor how to resolve them.If you know how can you point me in the direction of any Youtube videos or Tutorials you can suggest? And my graphics card is dedicated. Its a 260GTX, pretty old now I know ahaha. But I can run the vinilla game ultra graphics with no problems so I toned the graphics down abit for modding. Also I would like to point out I managed to play the game just now for about an hour with no problems, however when it did crash it was to one single enemy encounter. It happened just as the Raider went to withdraw there weapon to attack me, and it just froze. Luckly I managed to have a save just a few seconds before hand and I killed the Raider with console commands.I checked the loot and the Raider had a AK-74U on them from the mod I installed. When I equipped the weapon myself and fired it there was no problems.I reloaded the game and let the Raider attack me again but this time the Raider attacked me successfully without a crash and there was nothing wrong with the AK-74U. Not sure what the problem could be.

Put Remastered at the bottom, downloaded compatibility patches for Remastered and I scanned though FO3Edit for any conflicts, there was no major conflicts in the merge patch. Still not resolved 100% but it doesn't seem to be crashing as often.
M48A5
Here is the training manual for FO3Edit. http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/8629. I usually open it when I am going to use FO3Edit and follow the instructions as I work. You said you did a Master Update. I hope you did not master update Fallour Remastered. Also, don't forget to toggle ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! when you make and activate a new merged patch or add a new mod. I master updated everything, is there a way to reverse the master update? And I havent toggled ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated after each install, could that be a cause? Thanks for the guide too! M48A5
To reverse master update, use master restore. It is all explained in the training manual. I toggle ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated! after I install a single or mutiple mods just as a precaution. It isn't necessary with all mods, I just do it to get into the habit so that I won't forget it sometime. You need to make it a habit to read the mod description pages, no matter how long they are and also the ReadMe. They both contain valuable infromation about the proper installation of the mod.

BlackRampage
Using Masterrestore might help for other mods, but if you masterupdated Fallout Remastered, which you did, you'll need to delete it and download a new copy. Same goes for it's compatibility patches. Also, allow me to quote the Fallout Remastered Readme part about masterupdating:Master updating Fallout Remastered and/or it's compatibility patches will cause many of it's records and overrides to stop working correctly. Doing so will cause the mod to stop working as intended. Using master update on other files you are running is perfectly acceptable, but Fallout Remastered and/or the compatibility patches themselves MUST be excluded from your load order whenever you might run FO3MasterUpdate.exe.Can you tell I second what M48A5 said about reading description pages/Readme's?
