How can I make New Vegas more stable?

I don't have that many mods installed, and my computer is able to handle the game fine (Running around 50-60 FPS in high traffic areas on high setting)

Looking over my own load order I can't really spot any major conflicts that could possibly screw over my game.

I have the latest NVSE installed.

Also I should add I have a long running experience in mod usage and I generally tend to tread carefully and know what I am doing... MOST OF THE TIME! NOT ALWAYS!

So why is New Vegas crashing about every fifth to ninth cell I am entering?

Is there a way I can make this game more stable? Mods I can download to fix bugs? Anything I can do personally to stabilize the game some more?

I already got Boss, and use it frequently. But Lings stops working unless I load it after the Desert Succubus.esp, or is it project nevada? Could be roberts... Eh I don't know, but I know its not working unless I load it after DS. So that's a problem.

Thanks for a reply though!

If it is happening primarily when you enter a cell it's because it's not purging cell buffers. I use a mod that PCBs every 10 mins but I believe someone made one that PCBs after every auto save which I believe would work better.

To test if this is the cause of the crashes, enter "PCB" in command console (Forcibly unloads all unattached cells in cell buffers) before you enter each new cell.
