MahAyss
I am getting near unplayable input lag at this point, roughly half a second or slightly more between input and action, and a similar thing on ending the input and the action ending. Any ways to fix it? Vsynch sometimes causes stuff like this apparently. Though I have Vsynch off in the options, but I have a mod Midhrastic ENB for Fallout 3 (http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/18107), which may enable Vsynch on its own, though it doesnt mention doing so as far as I can tell. Could possibly be a framerate issue, because the input lag reduces slightly with all the graphical settings minimized, but it is still there. Cant be certain of course because there is no way to show fps as far as I am aware (the show fps command mentioned in the mod doesnt actually work, or may do but the button to activate it on a qwerty board is different from the button on whatever board they use), but my comp can run skyrim on 1600 with the graphics maxed out (and various HD packs and shader mods) installed with a good framerate and no input lag, so maybe not. Forgot to add, I am playing on the Steam distribution of FO3:GOTY. And my specs are. Intel Celeron DNvidia GTX 2604 gig ram. Here is my full mod list, just incase one of them is known to do something like this.[X] Fallout3.esm[X] Anchorage.esm[X] ThePitt.esm[X] BrokenSteel.esm[X] PointLookout.esm[X] Zeta.esm[X] Zombie Apocalypse.esp[X] Zombie Apocalypse - Point Lookout.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod.esm[X] CALIBR.esm[ ] xCALIBR.esm[X] FOOK2 - Main.ESM[X] FOOK2 - [DIK] DLC Improvement Kit.ESM[X] FOOK2 - Main.esp[X] FOOK2 - [DIK] DLC Improvement Kit.esp[X] FOOK2 - Main [Hotfix].esp[X] FOOK2 - DIK [Hotfix].esp[ ] ek.FOOK.fix.v2.esp[X] richvendors.esp[ ] Destruction.esm[ ] FOOK2 - [DESTRUCTION] Main.esp[ ] FOOK2 - [DESTRUCTION] Main - Statics.esp[ ] FOOK2 - [DESTRUCTION] DIK.esp[ ] FOOK2 - [DESTRUCTION] DIK - Statics.esp[ ] FOOK2 - [DESTRUCTION] Mothership Zeta.esp[ ] FOOK2 - [DESTRUCTION] Mothership Zeta - Statics.esp[X] EVE.esm[X] EVE.esp[X] EVE Operation Anchorage.esp[X] CubeExperimental (EN).esm[ ] RealFragGrenade3.esp[X] AWorldOfPainFO3.esm[X] RH_IRONSIGHTS.esm[X] RH_IronSights_Basic_VanillaPlugin.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Basic_AnchoragePlugin.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Basic_BrokenSteelPlugin.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Basic_PittPlugin.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Basic_PointLookoutPlugin.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Basic_ZetaPlugin.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Pitt_NewRifleSights.esp[X] RH_IronSights_Vanilla_NewWeapons.esp[X] RH_IronSights_PL_NewItems.esp[X] RH_IronSights_RemoveReticule.esp[X] RH_EVE_Bridge.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Anchorage.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC The Pitt.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Broken Steel.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Point Lookout.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - DLC Zeta.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - Zones Respawn.esp[X] Mart's Mutant Mod - Master Menu Module.esp[ ] xCALIBRammo_override.esp[ ] xCALIBRammo_FWE.esp Thanks for any help. M48A5
I hope the list you provided is not your load list. If it is, it is a mess. It should read starting from the top: Fallout3.esm, followed by the dlc .esm, followed by the mods .esm. Then the .esp should be loaded. I suggest that you at least get BOSS to order your load list: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/10193.
MahAyss
go back over the enb read me file im sure its AA it doesnt support It doesnt support AA, AF or water displacement (no idea what water displacement is). Turned them all off anyway like it said to. But that is how it reads..? Unless you mean it should be Fallout stuff///ModX.esmModY.esmModZ.esmModX1.espModX2.espModY.espModZ.espModZ2.esp In which case that goes against a couple of the mod install guides (assuming I read them right of course) and would cause compatability issues surely? Tried it anyway, (or rather that is how BOSS arranged it), so thanks for that. Why would you load up peices of mods before and after peices of other mods in that fashion rather than all at once? BlackRampage
Why would you load up peices of mods before and after peices of other mods in that fashion rather than all at once?Because there's a fundamental difference between master files (the .esm's) and plugin files (the .esp's). All master files (.esm's) are to load above all plugin files (.esp's) at all times. And yes, you most likely read those mod installing guides wrong. Just use BOSS and you should be fine. gedocs1217
I have the same issue I get serious lag in exteriors when roaming the wasteland. My FPS basically looks fine (between 30-60) but in random places, usually when I encounter with NPCs, reach locations, or even just accidentally it drops radically and my screen freezes for a sec. I've got a laptop with these specs: Intel ® Core I3 2.4 GHz2GB RAMGe Force GT 420m As far as I know it should be a middle end cpu and besides it meets the minimum requirements, FO3 should not have to do such things on it. I really don't know what to think, but I tried a couple of stuffs to enhance the performance and reduce lags. I already have the absolute latest nvidia driver, but I tried rolling back to some older ones like 296.10 and 295.73 (which is known as a pritty good driver for Fallout 3) sadly I couldn't give a chance to the 180 series (that I read are the best), because my gpu doesn't support them. I can tell that there were not so much difference. I also tried these: - Large Address Aware Enabler- Fallout Stutter remover (and I am still using it since I guess it has no negative effect)- Midhrastic ENB for Fallout 3- Disabling the Vsync (in the ini too)- d3d9dll - Many ini tweaks like setting the cell buffers to different values, limiting the thread ai etc.- Chosing the resolution and the settings to the lowest in the launcher I have plenty of mods though with fose running, and with the 1.7 patch. However when I disabled all of them (except from the fallout esm, and the official dlc plugins) I got the same result. Do I have to think that nothing is wrong but my comp isn't strong enough for Fallout 3?
