forthemods08 Posted September 11, 2012 Share Posted September 11, 2012 I need to start a new character.. even though ive been using clean saves since the start of this one, i cant escape ctds... even properly uninstalled momod, deadly dreagons, skytest, asis, waiting 31 days etc.. im level 61 and want to get back to that (using scriptdragon trainer i guess) but will using console commands to get back to where i was screw up the game? Elsarian Posted September 11, 2012 Share Posted September 11, 2012 All you have to do is player.setstage then whatever the code is for the quest you are wanting to complete. And yes, there are a lot of issues that can happen if you do these things. There are certain events that are supposed to happen by completely one quest after the other. So, it's best to just start all over, and go back through the game like you would on your first play-through. I hate having to create new games, so that's why I tend to stray from heavy modding until the patches stop. That's the same thing I did with Oblivion. Patches are a mods worse nightmare. I keep only about 6 base mods that I can't live without installed. And they don't even change a lot. So, you might want to do that until Beth stops patching the game.
