How do I download mods faster?

Apparently, downloading a Skyrim mod that's about 103,617 kb (which is, understandably, rather good-sized) takes over 100 hours on my computer using Nexus Mod Manager. I'm pretty sure there's a problem. I'm using a Vista, with a Virgin Mobile Internet card in a Cradlepoint router. Is it Mod Manager? Is it my computer? Is it the fact that I'm in a pretty rural area?

 

Edit: And it seems to loose connection to the file around 3%.

I'm having the same problem. I can not download any big mod. Starts and stops the download immediately. I've tried on all servers and nothing can!

Just a wild guess, but something might be wrong here...

 

Since it's me and not the Nexus, does anyone know a good tech support site I can ask, or a program that can fix my speed issue?
