LJSarson
I have finally discovered modding for Skyrim. i have started small and have just installed SKY-UI for an updated UI :)I installed it via the Nexus Mod Manager and it seemed to be working well. One thing i noticed is that it kept telling me that The Skyrim Script Extender was not installed and this could cause issues, (i cant remember exactly what it said)so i went to http://skse.silverlock.org/ to download a file. I have absolutely no idea what i am supposed to do with this file, i tried looking through a few guides online but it all seems to go over my head, could somebody give me a brief explanation of what this script extender is? what it does? why do i need it? or link me to somewhere that can :) Thanks! M48A5
Just a suggestion, you should read the ReadMe that come in the download.
LJSarson
The file itself was what i was having problems with, never heard of a 7Z file before but i was told to unzip it. :)so the file is now naked you might say and i found the ReadMe. it only looks about 20 minuets worth of reading. thanks for the help anyway
bnhilbert
I've ran into a bit of a problem. I read the readme for SKSE, watched a handful of video tutorials, and followed what they were doing step by step. I even double checked my versions to make sure they are compatible. Then I even tried running it as admin. but none the less. I receive the same message time and time again...CAN"T FIND TESV.EXE so you can understand the confusion. So if someone would mind giving me a few pointers on what I'm missing here, that would be much appreciated...Thanks. Ben I'll check back every day just in case, or I can be emailed at [email protected] if that would give a quicker response than me checking here. Georgiegril
You are running the legal copy of steam with the most recent patch? Are you also using NMM to launch, and using the "launch skse" button on NMM?
