Came back after a while, mods not recognized

So it's been a while since I've played Skyrim. I decided I wanted to revisit it, and Vortex said it needed to update, so I said ok. But after I updated, when i go to my "mods" screen i get this:

 

while when I check my plugins, i get this:

 

Note that this second screenshot was taken AFTER i re-enabled all the ones I think I had enabled before: most of them were disabled, even though I'm 100% sure that i had most of the plugins on screen enabled.

 

There's no way I can remember all the mods I had installed off the top of my head, but there's some mods I definitely had installed that aren't there. I definitely had the Additional Music Project and CBBE, for two examples.

 

However, I can find an "additional music project" folder in Skyrim\Data\Music, which implies to me that thankfully all my mods weren't deleted, just... i dunno, Vortex lost track of them? I'm not super knowledgeable with this stuff, or else I'd probably have more information for you.

 

Any help at all would be appreciated. I haven't run the game yet, just because I'm really worried I'll mess up my saves.

Can you check your mods folder to see if there's a file called vortex_deployment.json?

 

Can you recall what version you were on before the update?

 

It's very bizarre for this to happen as your mods/profiles live in a folder away from your Vortex install.

 

If you mod staging folder was inside your Vortex directory, this may have caused it.
