LE quest for book hoarders

First of all, im kinda of a lurker in this place, so its my first time creating a topic,

second, i dont realy know if what im going to ask for already exist, i searched for it with little to no luck , so im going to ask,

and third, i dont realy know if this is even posible, im sincerely clueless in the way of modding, so forgive me if im asking for imposibles, said all of that, thanks in advance, and sorry for the inconveniences

The idea :
well, i always wanted to try and make a colection of all text in skyrim, at least , the ones that you can have,

i would like to ask if its posible to create a mod that puts a bookshelve or bookshelves in someplace
and a quest with no markers , what this quest would do is basically check for the books inside the shelves and tell you what you need to found to fullfill the colection, but not where they are, something like the stones of berenziah, but with all books in game

 

The Ideal Idea :
it would be terribly awesome if it would work with mods too, typical mods that add books to the game, in the end they re coded as text too i guess, but i dont know if its posible, so its more of a secondary objetive i guess...

 

said this, i always liked colectionable items , even if they re completely useless, and even more if you can put them in shelves to say, wow, that was hard to get, or , im proud of this one, so if this is posible and somebody decides that likes the idea, ill thank you a million of times if you manage to do it posible, in the end, i think of it as imposible as with my habilities and time it would be imposible to make.

Legacy of the Dragonborn among many other things includes a library that will display a large selection of books as well as utilizing specialized containers to store additional books. While there is no quest to collect all of the books there are on occasion quests given to collect a specific book. For a collector, this mod is hands down one of the best. Worth checking out at the least.

I haven't played with it yet though (I keep changing my mod-list and NOT playing :facepalm: ) - so... does this mod have something like a list with all existing books with the ones you have collected marked?

There is a series of MCM pages that contain all collectibles (not just books). They get marked as items go on display. But only display items get listed that way. There are a lot of books, notes, journals, etc that do not have displays. But nothing is stopping one from using the "book stacks" to store those and then making a special trip on occasion to collect excess multiples for sale.

None to my knowledge. Feel free to ask on the LotD comment page. Perhaps other users of the mod know of something.

Check out the scholars library mod. Not exactly what you want, but as a book lover and collector I find it wonderful. One of my goals is to actually read every book in Skyrim.
